I like how bottom 20 got to 50 points, lurked quietly until they could secure the win. They weren't in the spotlight to avoid getting aped and then BOOM, here we are.

What if every game your squad finish last .. like first squad to die with no kills . Then the final game you win , will u be the champion ? Or do u have to have enough points from the other games ?

This was the best Apex tournament of all time. At some point someone has to edit together ESA Black's best Valk rotates. That's how they won Game 2 and 7. Amazing job all around.

I've watched R6 esports for 3 years and this is my first apex event I've ever watched. I gotta say, I like the apex casters more already. I don't know where you found these casters and analysts and desk hosts, but they are amazing. Not to mention the observers, such amazing production quality from them. This really makes the watching/listening experience so much better.
They've all improved a lot at a since the beginning. The first few tournaments were terrible to watch. Lots of lag, commentators we're still learning the game, observers missed all the action, lots of glitches, etc. The devs have been hard at work adding better features for the eSports and the commentators have had much more practice since then so it's all worked out to make a great viewing experience compared to the first year.

I finished watching the championship... let me just say that the announcing was on point!!! There were 3 sets of announcers and all really kept the energy throughout the tourney. Really impressed by their quickness for those play-by-plays. Big congrats! Can't wait to see these guys call the next tourney

I feel they attacked SSG because they assumed KNG was not on match point. I could be wrong tho. Just a guess.
@@aSleepySpaceman Imo they attacked the team that was weakened, so they can turn around and maybe fight the other team. They had all players up still for the top 2 fight this way, also getting more kp and placement points to get a better place on the leaderboard for themselves. Had they fought bottom 20 instead, they easily would have ended third place in this match without kp and lose a lot of money for the bad decision.
They made the most of a bad situation when they were basically in between the 2 teams that were on match point. The right decision was to attack the weakened team.

God I never really gave esports much thought until I picked up apex during s7, idk it's pretty entertaining to watch and the casters doing a fantastic job adds to it. Can't imagine the time you need to invest to get to this level.
Been playing since day 1. Its ALL about positioning and aim.
Step one: Stand close to a teammate.
Step two: Shoot the same enemy.
I'm not joking when I say that getting three people to do this will get you to high diamond/masters.

Sentinels played that so well, wiping out C9 with barely any damage taken and then turning onto TSM
I feel like he was right. Reps far swing was unnecessary. Snipe agreed with Hal as well. Reps said he had no bats, they told him about some fresh red swaps on the left side, opposite of where he went. That is winnable imo. Some nice red swaps and not going down 1v2 against high ground, running in the open
@@ggfdd5925 look at retzi's angle. The situation was winnable for sure but it wasn't just reps swing that fucked it up. they might've won if they played the left side of that rock, but retzi's flank really secured that dub, not just reps getting mowed down

Couldn’t understand the point system until game 8 (lot of skipping around) but man is this such a great idea to make it that the team has to WIN instead of just playing for placement excellent job to the tournament organizers 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Match point definitely fun to watch but C9 was ripping lobbies apart. Match point isnt really good for the players though. I feel they could have just done 10 games and did the traditional whoever gets more points wins.
No because you'd get even more people playing safe and even safer than before just for placement points to get a high points finish for prize money
i think the reason Bottom 20 won was because of Onmuu's ult on SSG + Vein's ult and also because Renegade rushed Frexs in the end was very reckless

So thing's have changed drastically now there is a new thing called recon legends which all have the abilities to scan survey beacons the recon legends consist of crypto (who can auto scan with his drone) bloodhound,Valk and path
And as of yet path doesn't have a real passive (current passive just decreases ult cooldown for 10 seconds and auto charges your ult when you scan the survey beacon )and probably won't get one until next season
pathfinder, bloodhound, crypto and Valkyrie can scan beacons.

Why are there no replays? Like at the start of game 2 they could of played a replay of the first fights during the downtime?

Am i the only one who thinks that rather than this winning condition it shoud be like there is a set number of matches for example 8 and at the end the team with the most point will win.
Yes it’s been spoke of splitting it into two rounds of six games over two days. That’s what the players want but ALGS like this format as believe it’s more exciting, but it can disadvantage a team that has led with points up until that one game where they get a random zone that doesn’t suit or whatever and all that great game play before means nothing.
They should make it first to 50 points but you have to have at least one win for it to count

@@droidgameplays4123 first reach 50 points then after that milestone win a game. So we ended up with 8 teams who could all win the tourne by winning a game.

Can somebody explain how bottom 20 wins? They were in 7th place going into game 9 and they ended up winning the tournament?
To win the tournament, you gotta collect 50 points to get into match point. Then, you have to win a game.
At game 8, team KNG Bottom 20 had already collected 51 points. So, when they won game 9, they won the tournament.
Someone explain points system please or give me timestamp of when they explained it?
I can image in the apex universe they have commenters during each match you play…

They won because once u complete 50 points all you need to do i win one game after completing the 50points . Even if another team has more points than you.

I kept saying that with a coordinated team he will still be very strong. The damage was ever only a single factor of the gas being strong.

Honestly the professional esports games are not nearly as entertaining to watch, specially at the start, not because they are not the best of the best because they have to have something in them to be part of the tournament but because of the fact that they always, you can see this in pretty much most of the tournaments, that they play it overly safe. Either way I hope there was no beef I really am not in the loop of Apex Legends stuff at all but this was a fun, 6 and a half hour video to watch.

To win a team had to reach 50 points, then win a game to “unlock” the match point, then win a game once more after that to secure the match point and win the championship overall.

I like this set up, but feel like names should be left out of kill feed like anonymous mode
Understandable but i think its fine to leave the kill feed the same. Its more exciting to see teams going for the team with match point. Further prolongs the number of games while increasing the intensity since more teams will reach the match point as more games are played.

There is no match limit in the 2021 NA Championship Finals
Once a Team reaches the minimum total points of 50 in the Championship, The next match becomes "Match Point Eligible" for that team.
The first team to win a match after they are "Match Point Eligible" is declared the 2021 NA Champion.
After the winner is declared, 2nd-20th are ranked by total Finals points.
There is no limit to number of teams who can be "Match Point Eligible".

Ok so I understand it now if Ur team cross point "50". Then u win the next you'll be the winner. But if there's another team who's not 50 wins the game, The game will continue. Tsm entered 50 point in game 5 but couldn't win a single game after that. And then c9 entered 50 but still they couldn't win the next. Then enter couple of teams including bottom20 in the "50". Bottom20 wins the next so they're now the champion.
So that explains if u wanna qualify for the match point. You just need to cross the 50 point barrier(doesn't matter if u place 2nd or 3rd) then win a match and ur the winner.
