How a Mountain Bike Works?!

- Mountain Bikes have become increasingly complicated these days. That's where I come in. I'll help you understand WHAT a part is and how it works. That way the next time your friend asks you how your rotors are holding up you can tell them to "pump the brakes and worry about their OWN rotors!"
Be sure to let me know what I missed and what you'd like to see me cover in a future video!

I've never used the master link as a starting point, been living under a rock for 20 years
What are you DOING with your life?! 😂
I'm with you. It was like a lightbulb finally switched on.😂
Wireless shifting…for dentist and pros.
Haha! After running it for a few months I'm convinced it didn't solve ANY problems for me. 😂
yeah, if i didn’t have a master link, i’d still be out there lubing my chain 😂
Hahaha. Stuck in an endless loop. 😂
Lol
Derailleur is at the height of every rock you’ll encounter...lmfao
Hahaha… “This is a derailleur. It’s the exact same size AS EVERY SINGLE ROCK YOULL ENCOUNTER ON THE TRAIL!!” Hahaha… that does it! I’m subscribing 🤙
The rotor knowledge is a life saver. I was so worried what to use as a weapon in the zombie apocalypse. Thanks bro🤘🏻🤘🏻
Wait until you find out you can take the cassette off, attach it to the chain and BASICALLY have one of the deadliest weapon's known to man!! 😂
@@CaliradoKid 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯you are a true hero to mankind
1:30 Also more importantly, the bigger the rotor, the better the stopping power. Heat dissipation is a bonus.
The more hot they are, the less your stopping power. Try stopping with super hot rotors, you can't. So, the stopping power is the bonus
@@ChefandTheArbistor Nope, that's not it. It's the leverage from the bigger rotor that gives the stopping power.
@@andrec.136 I don’t think so. In f1, the hotter your brakes get, the less stopping power you get. You have to
Manage them to keep them in an optimal window to get maximum power
@@ChefandTheArbistor Lots of people have got this backwards. It's the additional leverage that gives more power. Bigger rotors just happen to dissipate heat better as well, but the primary objective of bigger rotors has nothing to do with heat, it's the mechanical advantage. You can tell the difference between two rotor sizes long before either one of them heats up.
I like the sarcasm about tubeless tires a lot hahahahahah 😂😂
Hahaha i crack on how tubeless tires are better than with inner tubes 😆
A healthy mix of useful information and accurate but unpopular opinions laced with generous sarcasm! Brilliant 👍 I am old enough to remember when suspension was only when someone took the first go on a dodgy homemade ramp, and am found found scratching my head pondering how some modern developments are 'better', tubeless is one! 🤔
This is a dropper seat post, it goes up and down using this lever on the bars. By adjusting the post to its fastest rate of extension, it can assist you in getting up and over your handlebars in the fastest way possible!
Haha!! I had tubeless on my last bike and got two leaks from the sealant failing. Went back to tubes and old school Mr Tuffy tire liners and haven’t had an issue in 3,000 miles.
Just know that the bike won’t work if it’s under $4000
and then theres dunlop valves.. basically that one friend who we just forget
The puncture size doesn't really matter.
It's where the hole is.
If it's right in the roots of a knob it's going to reopen again and again until you patch it.
This guy is the Ted Lasso of the mountain biking world! :)
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes. All of this check out as facts👍
You know all about the shin graters. Unlike ME. I run clipless like a roadie! 😂
Wow 😮 your videos are getting better and better the chain link one is so funny 🤣great job on this video you Rock 🪨 Thanks man ! 👍😎🤘
You forgot too mention how a 29" rear tire polished the butt of your shorts when doing drop offs.
Oh man. Haha! And everybody behind you gets to see what you had for breakfast! 😂
This dude reminds me of Jason Sudeikis, in a good way!
Haha! I swear one day I'm gonna watch Ted Lasso. 😂
“Presta is betta and schrader sucks” got me lol! A lot of us just follow the trends blindly
Wireless shifting doesn’t make my friends bike any faster than mine? Weird 😂 he still can keep up with me !
Don't forget to tighten the loose nut between the handlebars, and saddle !!!! ;)
i knew it! an MTB is going to be very handy in a zombie apocalypse! 😂
We'll survive! One bike part at a time. But we'll SURVIVE! 😂
You missed the bycycle frame😂😂😂😂
'clipless' comes from when toe clips were used as standard
god, the covenience of tubeless tyres is just perfect
hey, random question, are you running 29s?
Coulda had fun explaining a dropper post!
So damned true. I'm putting it in the next one!!
what is the standing clearance on the 26" tekton?
Too many good moments to count! Amazing!
Thanks man! I've already got a few more ideas. I might have to do a follow up to this one!
@@CaliradoKid I've been really enjoying your content! Your brand of humor is much appreciated!
@@sunglassrob7752 Thanks man! I've been having a lot of fun with it. It's been a while since I filmed anything in Widescreen but I'm BACK baby! 😂
the tires kend at the rear
and maxxis on the front
First time being this early to a calirado kid vid !😃 love your stuff!
Thanks man! It's been a LONG time since I uploaded an actual video. I swear I'm going to make an effort to put out more soon!
Love it ! Much love from the east coast
oh yeah, I still have scars on my shins
😂😂😂😂 wireless shifter part. 🤘🏽
1:59 esp if you have tire insert. I love using my CushCore as a necklace, after having to put tubes in, which ironically is sometimes needed to get home. Makes it better that the necklace is quite sticky and stinky aswell!
that just about covers it
Awesome video!!🤣🤣🤣
Hello
This is hilarious!
I can never find the master link once I start lubing the chain
You should see the outtakes. Pretty sure I missed it like 7 times. 😂
I just keep lubing and lubing and lubing and lubing.

Oh yea! And I gotta explain noisy hubs too!!
I’ve never been this early to anything! I absolutely love it when your vids come out they are always so funny.
Stoked you got in early! I'm working on another one now that should be pretty damn relatable to ANYONE who's ever ridden a bike! 😂
Hilarious! Well done!
Dig it!
Awesome !!! Do you forgot to mention what the helmet is for .......
Ohh. Good point. I'll save that for the next one!
NAILED IT!!!
Haha! Thanks man! I feel like there's SO much more to explain. But I gotta learn what all the other parts do FIRST! 😂
Schrader Sucks!! 🤣🤣
Hahaha! Yea. UNLESS he's fighting the Ninja Turtles! 😂
@@CaliradoKid turtlely! Really enjoy your energy on your clips. Keep em up. 🤘🏻
First
The dropper post 👍🏼
Ohhh. Yea. I need to cover that in the next one!
So true about the master link!
I mean. What else is it for if NOT for knowing where you left off with the lube?! 😂
You really funny man!
Thanks! I'm working my way to world domination with bad jokes! 😂
Shin graders!
You know its TRUE!! 😂
I love the wit
Thanks!!
Brilliant!
Yes! Wait til you see the NEXT one. I don't want to float the term "genius" around but it's pretty ok. 😂
