@@chrisseddon5823 I didn't read it negatively, it's a good characteristic not to take unimportant things too seriously. You can see the exact opposite end of that scale with some kids who can't handle losing and cheat or throw tantrums.
Anyway if we're complaining about who we find annoying, I used to find Jon annoying but I've grown to like him more. Except when he's mean to Holly, I won't hear a bad word about Holly! >.< XD

Yes, they moved about half a year ago from Draughts café and now the studio is in a basement somewhere.

@@KPTG119 Space mostly, the old studio was in a loft and the filming area barely had enough room for people to squeeze in. New studio is larger, can fit a larger gaming table and is easier to sit around.
@@KPTG119 Space but its also in the building with Wrestletalk so they use the space for a couple of different channels. WrestleTalk, PartsFUNknown, NRB, Chaotic Neutral.
@@KPTG119it gives them much more flexibility with their schedule. They can now film whenever they like for however long they like without having to rely on the people of Draughts to be available. Also, aforementioned reasons by other commenters

It’s been a long, LONG weekend at work, and it’s finally almost over, can’t wait to watch a new Board Game Club when I get home!

@@keithparker1346 I'm honestly not sure... things are probably cheaper at wholesale prices, and who knows what it would be if factories are in play (even with relatively small runs).
Myself, I can get 20 connectors for AUD $3, and then 305 meters of CAT6A-rated cable for AUD $219. So from a pure cost-of-materials standpoint, it's probably not too bad? It'd be the hours required to actually cut and terminate all the mini cables that'd be the killer (but that likely goes out the window if it's done by a factory).
Or alternatively, I can get just get pre-done 0.25 meter or 0.5 meter cables for AUD $2 a piece. Without lower bulk prices, that doesn't leave much wriggle-room for other game pieces, though (assuming $55 AUD based on a loose conversion from the USD price listed on Kickstarter for Speedport, and the 24 cables that come with that game), but maybe it's doable? Would certainly eat into profit margins, though...

8:58 In Molly Rose's defense, I've never called it a "ness" before and until recently never heard it said that way. Always "Nintendo" or "N-E-S." Took me a second to figure out what Dom was saying too. And I grew up playing the thing! Wasn't even my first console!
As someone who worked in IT and AV for YEARS, while we're up to our eyeballs in cabling and nothing is working right, we're Molly Rose after her breakdown. Each time we get a piece working, we're Blair after she finally won.
Such fun that somebody has created a game out of LAN cables, and the best entertainment on UA-cam when presented by No Rolls Barred 😂

If everyone is playing as IT people then I feel terrible for the poor office workers who have to use the server. Not only do they have to deal with their internet constant turning off and back on again, but they also have to put up with the constant screaming and inane ramblings coming from the server room.

I make cables like these all the time those look like CAT 5/ CAT 6. The cables are around 3 ft. For network switch connections.

I don't think you can leap on anyone for the "nez" thing. While we did sometimes call it a "ness" growing up, everyone I knew usually called it an N E S. Maybe it's more common to say "nez" in Britain, but not where I grew up.

€49 for a game that I can DIY for under €20(and that's with cables that actually work) is not a great bargain. Can't deny that it looks fun, but not €49 much.
Also, the bundle pledge is not eco-friendly/sustainable - if you're getting both games for yourself, you don't need 2 sets of cables and a second box. Saving €2 in today's economy is virtually nothing, you can just add a copy of each.
I don't know where you got the info about the price at 49€ per box. On the campaign, you can see that one box of the game costs 35€ and a bundle of two games is for 68. So don't mislead people with the fact that it is too expensive. The components are visually made of very high quality, and the gameplay looks pretty fun to me so I backed the campaign and recommend it to everyone!
@soktulson3098 Shipping ain't free. The only plus to this campaign in comparison to others is that at least VAT is included. Again, DIY versions for 20 bucks is still twice as cheap as 38 for the proposed bundle of components. You can go even more DIY and even cheaper, but you won't match the quality.

To be fair to Molly Rose, I'm in my mid-40s and i've never heard anyone call the original Nintendo (NES) a "Nezzz" like Dom did.
Early 40s, we (the people I knew) called it the NES or SNES by saying the letters not as a word
N.E.S.?! You guys just made it a word?? I mean, it does make sense, I guess, but it sounds hard to pick up on if you're not ready for it...
I find that people old enough to remember the SNES, but too young to have had a NES, say NES and SNES as a word. People older tend to say N.E.S. and might even say Super N.E.S - (might just be a UK thing)

Adjacent means next to, so as long as there is no port in between the 2 connected ports then it's adjacent. It doesn't matter the orientation of things to be adjacent.
In many board games, rules regard adjacent as "orthogonally adjacent", hence the minor dispute.

Clickport might be one of the most boring games to watch I've seen on the channel. Maybe it's fun to play, but with no idea what everyone is working towards, it's just people undoing each others work with no clear intent and shouting at each other.

So simple and beautiful, and makes for great player on player synergy, it seems like. The casts energy was STRONG in this one, love these vibes!!
Things you can do to increase the realism level:
During speedport, have 5 people on a phone conference all asking for time estimates and progress reports.
After every game, create a Visio drawing that meticulously documents every cable run and connection, then delete the file because no one is ever going to open the document again.
Right when you are about to finish, have someone flip another card because they changed the design specs, even though you asked repeatedly if they are sure the design is final.
After winning, have someone yell at you for an hour saying you obviously plugged the cables in wrong because they don’t see the connection coming up, only for them to suddenly realize they were watching someone else’s game from a different country.

Turn Clickport into Speedport, winner of Clickport must then make the cabling look neat removing all unneeded connections and keeping theirs active. Failure to do so in 2mins forfeits the win.

@@brianmathis5423well, that’s the main cam shot. I was talking about the top down cam as they usually set that to match the main cam view, not the player’s view.
I agree though about the legs. if it were me, I’d either have a curtain or I’d have a board (held with with magnets so it can be taken off easily)
funny thing is, to combat having to play upside down all they have to do is play normally and just slap a vertical flip effect on the footage.

Im having to defend Dom here....back in the 90s it was referred on tv by presenters as the Nez and the Snez. Blame Andy Crane for it i suppose.

FINALLY! Something to do with the 3 boxes of cables I have!
I'd love to see a House Rules edition of Speedport with 2 player teams, one player is blindfolded and plugs the the cables into the plugboard, the other player can see the plugboard and the solution card, but cannot touch the board or cables and has to guide the blindfolded player to where the cables have to go.
This but pass all the persons audio through speech to text then text to speech and let Dom also add his own misleading comments
