Thanks for this! I was getting crashes starting redshift when working with the original sim file using load from file in the cache, but loading as a file from the start in a new project stopped the crash. Any idea what could be causing it?
I am not sure, but it could be that after original cache your graphic RAM is still used up , so redshift can't find enough memory to run, when you restart the cache is cleared. Hope this helps.
I am facing problem while rendering in redshift> In the RSlight dome settings the shder is missing how do i enable the shader. and when i go to the render view and press cursor a message pops out No shader detected under the cursor How do i solve these problems.
Hi, I am not familiar with the problem you are facing, can you please send me a screenshot of your issue to resilientpicture@outlook.com. I can have a look for you.
i am using multiple copies of the cache using transform and timeshift, but due to some reason redshift is only showing the first connected copy in render.
I guess I have got this right. I'll try and explain what I know. Everytime you bring in volume cache, it has its own density and temp parameters. When you bring in multiple and merge them then redshift can only use the first one. You should render them using separate Redshift ROP nodes. I hope this will help you. If not let me know.
@@resilientpicture I am using so many instances of that cache, using multiple ROP network is the only way to achieve this ?? I have send you the mail with attached files. Please have a look. Any help would be appreciated
Hello, It won't because the materials and lights are different and the camera settings are also different. I'm sure there's plenty of tutorials online for pyro shading using mantra. Hope this helps
Just an update. Since this is an old tutorial, the shader tab in RSlight is no longer present. All of its controls are now in Light tab.
thanks for this. looking forward to more houdini redshift tutorials!
You are welcome and thanks for watching. Sure there will be more. Stay tuned
Thank you for sharing this knowledge.

really nice ! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much.
very nice tutorial! Thank you a lot!

Hi! Why you ticked on tesselation? Does it work for volume? I Was very surprized to see this.. Also tryied on vdb - no changes at all
No, actually, it doesn't make any difference. It's only for polygons. My bad.
@@resilientpicture in 20 seconds I was "nooo waay, I can res up vdb just clicking tesselation on, omg" :)
Lol, I was just looking at the time. 🙂 Yes, sorry that was wrong info. My apologies.
Thank you!

@@kanitk8632 I'll check it out. No worries. Please give me some time.
@@resilientpicture Thank you I will wait for your reply, just confirm whether you have received the mail or not.
@@kanitk8632 yes I have. Thanks for watching the tut. Please like, share and subscribe.
Will this tutorial work for mantra as well?(minus the redshift nodes of course)

@@resilientpicture Not free ones... Thanks anyway.

How many voxels what that sim?
Honestly, I don't remember, but it certainly not production quality.
