Brilliant interview - well done Ladi! There is no question as to whether or not Nwodo knows his onions - he does. The difficulty that I have with his leadership of Ndigbo via Ohaneze is squaring the brilliance of his mind with the reality of Nigeria. The Nigeria of his youth was somewhat ideal, therefore he may be excused the romanticism in his opinions - but Nigeria needs to die quickly so that we may live. MNK understands that better than Nwodo does - and that explains the discordance between their two approaches. While I respect Nwodo still and take absolutely nothing away from him, all I've known of Nigeria is heartache. Therefore, I am with Maazi Nnamdi Kanu and will march with him until the dismantling of Nigeria is complete and final.

Young man, even though I understand your frustration, I must tell you that Biafra is over and gone. It's not because we as Ibos are incapable of self determination. We are as capable as any other ethnic group in Africa. However, we have to analyze our history, as well as present circumstance in Nigeria. Why did we lose the war?
1. Britain fully supported Nigeria, the entity it created
2. Failed diplomacy: we only had support from Ivory Coast and Gabon.
3. Poor diplomatic relations within Nigeria. Poor relations with Calabar people as well as Ijaws, that are strategically located by the sea.
4. Fate (God Factor)
Biafra lost the war largely due to successful economic blockade. This was the result of poor diplomacy.
None of these factors have changed.
It is not feasible or logical to ask millions of Ndi Igbo that are making a living in northern and western Nigeria to suddenly be transformed into foreign immigrants. Although we are still being oppressed in Nigeria, Ibos are arguably the wealthiest Nigerians on a per capita basis. Therefore, the success of Nigeria is really our success. I will continue...

I was In the war front as 14 years old in 1969 at Ngor okpala sector, owerri and Elele 20 miles to port court township. What course the war is still there. I am very proud to fought to save the life of innocent children, women and elderly men. When I was in the war front at Umufor obike I was very happy to be there with Biafra youngsters soldiers In umuofor obike war front, one Biafra soldier was very upset with me saw me in war front, he told me to go home I refused and I said to him where do you want me to go Nigeria and Birtish soldiers is all over Biafra land. Honestly I’ve come to the conclusion that people who criticize Nwodo are either illiterates, I’ll-informed, uncivilized and or lack a deep thinking faculty. I am an instructor at a technical institute and an associate technician in the Largest ISP in the USA and based on these I have seen what drives the development of the United States. Nnia Nwodo has highlighted what Nigeria needs to do as a country to get to the TRUE next level. Nigeria needs a leader that can do exactly most of what this man has said. You don’t elect leaders based on tribal, ethnic, political or religious sentiments you elect them based on their track records, in a civilized and developed country once you don’t perform up to expectation you either resign of your own volition or you’re asked by your constituent to resign and you do so. In Nigeria a Governor that looted a state dry will still come back after his tenure to become a senator, this is Shameful, abysmal, unGodly, anti development and so on.
