Thank you for teaching us about how to read the Bible. Do you have any book recommendations that discuss heaven or the spiritual world? I really enjoyed the audiobooks you did with Sadhu Sundar Singh's books.
Very interesting topic! I was surprised when I heard you say that it was dangerous to study the Bible. There are some key facts in Bible Study that you did not include that really make it dangerous to study the Bible. An important one is an attention to detail! For example, it is "Fruit of the Spirit" and not "Fruits of the Spirit." Another thing is that while it is true that "Jesus" does talk about the spiritual leaders in a negative light. You left out two very important facts, such as "Jesus" told the multitudes and His disciples to obey the scribes and Pharisees. Not only that, but Paul identifies himself as a Pharisee even in the later part of his life! In regards to your comment regarding not studying the Bible for knowledge only, consider this. The Bible teaches us that we are saved by only one name. God does NOT Change! However, nowhere in the entire Old Testament can you find the name " Jesus" mentioned, not even once! The New Testament MUST line up with the Old Testament. (This is one major roadblock when witnessing to Jews!)
Thank you, Franz, for your comments. Yes, there is much more I could have said. But it would take hours to do. My goal is to show approaching our Bible from strictly a point of knowledge is very dangerous to our spiritual development. You and I know people who can quote scripture but known nothing of Jesus. Jesus speaks of them when he says “Many will come to me on that day….but I will say I never knew you.” (Paraphrased). I plan to do more videos on scripture. So please don’t think this the only one on the subject. We’ll definitely cover the items you mention in your comments. Again, thank you for commenting!
