So how about some specs? Engine size in cc's? Estimated horsepower? Gear box source, number of speeds? Top end? 0-60 time? Weight? Cool looking car, but I think that straight cut trans whine would wear on your nerves very quickly.
Almost my dream car. This was a great idea. I hope it survives NYC. I drove one in Atlanta in the 70s. I got caught up in a bad multicar accident and miraculously drove through it. I watched the mirror and my roommate watched ahead and yelled warnings to me. We almost got run over by a semi 😰
You say all out race car, but Its still got its inch and 1/4 su carbs on it, these will limit air flow simply due to their size and will limit the power output by not flowing enough air.
+axiomist Gas mileage? Probably terrible since you want to floor it everywhere. It would be interesting to see what it would do if you could drive it gently, which I doubt this car is happy to do.
@@chrisdechristophe you mean it no longer sounds like a loveable quirky: very cheap, squirrelly car with Armstrong shocks, a tiny tractor motor, a primitive 4sp with a very annoying first gear. I think he knew what he was doing.
Best sounding Bugeye Sprite I've heard. Well built!
Video is 5 years old & I love that Bugeye! Nice job! I had to comment!
So thats the face to go with the voice 👍👍
Only bad choice was the Momo wheel.
!!!!! You never got out of second !!!!!! How high were you taking the rpm's to get that high whine ???
To the that says frog eye, that's British,Imo. I had a 1960,never heard anyone use the term ,frogeye, until internet came along. Great cars. Matt

Shove a couple Bananas in the gear box, good to go.
Beautiful restoration, numbers don't improve though, enjoy!
driving a manual in New York City? that's keen!

How did you say that cut off switch works 😄.

Awesome I love it. Cool Set Up
cool little car
How fun!
4-10-2019.Have you ever made one that runs on NH3?
Racing gear sets (transmission) whine...
Reminds me of an old Mini - slightly louder whine. Lovely car.
Transmission sings !
English car
Holy crap, you never took it out of second ! How fast does that little monster go? How many speeds? What's the gas mileage?

Steering wheel is so wrong for this car. And it sounds nothing like it should. Otherwise very nice
You didn't mention if it has a horn installed. In New York he's going to need a horn!!!
he did say air horns
Frog eye not bug eye.
At this point, we Sprite lovers are all brothers on both sides of the pond, so call it what you will, let's stick together!
Frog eye in the U K
In the USA, bug eye
In the Netherlands, 🐸 kikker oog Frog is in Dutch kikker
One must make allowances for our colonialist brothers.
Omg what have you done to this car! It sounds all wrong, this much acceleration, how does the suspension and steering handle it!
