Eric Kendricks in a multiple time All Pro at Mike LB, Damien Wilson has started for multiple teams including his run with us where he was a starter before winning Superbowl with KC. Then our young guys Clark and Overshone and the rookie Marist who Zimmer has already picked as a future Mike LB candidate. That's 5 and more than likely Micah will get time at Will LB too, so not sure where we have room. Especially when u factor the 2 UDFAs too. Not trying to say u wrong just doesn't seem anyone is talking about the room and they are not anywhere as bad as last seen. If politics aren't what dictate then we should be much improved on 2nd level which generally leads to better D overall.

Well , if your asking is our roster better now on May 7th , 2024 than it was on May 7th 2023 , then we have to break it down position by position. QB - Dak Prescott - If Dak plays all 17 games and we don't see any of our other QBs play then I say worse because i believe we already seen Daks best years. His arrow is going down instead of up... RB - I still believe Tony Pollard was our best RB. He still had over 1,000 yards rushing and he was still recovering from the ankle injury he suffered in the playoffs against the 49ers the year before. Our collection of RB's now is much to be desired, so I would say RB position is worse. WR - I'm gonna say this is a push. We picked up no WR in free agency and we drafted a WR in the 6th round. We are hoping to hit lightening in a bottle with Ryan Flourney , but it's a longshot. I guess picking up Martavis Bryant last year and cutting Michael Gallup is considered a wash at this point. TE - I would say the tight end position is better and that is exclusively on John Stevens being healthy. From what I saw I last years preseason games , he has huge potential. We retained most of our tight ends and have really good depth. We have 5 capable tight ends on the roster. Offensive line - I would say better. We lost Tyron Smith and Tyler Biadasz in free agency, but we picked up 3 offensive lineman in the draft. I feel we got younger along the line for the future. Tyler Guyton and Cooper Beebe are nice pieces for the future.
Defensive Line - I would say worse. We lost 4 defensive linemen ( Dorance Armstong , Dante Fowler , Neville Gallimore, John Hankins ) in free agency. We picked up no defensive linemen in free agency and we drafted 2 defensive linemen. Right now , I can't say picking up a DT Justin Rogers in round 7 pick 244 is gonna be better than what we had. A lot rides on Mazi Smith and Osa Odighizuwa . LB - I would say better. Getting Demarion Overshown back and Eric Kendricks in free agency and Marist liufau in the draft is and upgrade for the position. Secondary - I would say this is a push. As it stands right now , we don't have Stephon Gilmore and Jayron Kearse on the roster. That could change my decision if we sign them. Our secondary is pretty solid and we do have some young talent that are unanswered if they are good or not. But getting Trevon Diggs ( coming off an Inury ) back is hopefully a good thing , but we will see. So overall , I don't think we will reach 12 wins like we did last season and that's why I'm giving the team a Worse grade for the 2024 season .

If I want a blocking Tight End that doesn't catch passes, I give Matt Waletzko a jersey with 80 something on it, and I let him do the blocking. He's not worth a shit as a Tackle, but I guarantee you that at 6'8 - 305, he's a better blocker than any tight end out there. And can probably even catch a pass or two.
