I do enjoy a wide array of music, and I’m finding it hard to keep my mandolin practice focused because of it. My summer goal is to focus on fiddle tunes, but I’ve just scratched the surface of jazz and now I’m obsessed with Don Stiernberg playing Django Reinhardt 🙄🎵🎶 Your jazz licks book has been really helpful, BTW
I don’t know of a new videos with Don, but a few of his I’ve been listening to lately are Nuages (it’s a few years old), a Django medley, and then a super jazzed-out version Ol’ Joe Clark with Don, Dave Grisman and Andy Statman.
This is completely wonderful. Just found this today and what a beautiful delicate sound, with excellent groove too. Off to discover more from these musicians!
Really great. I do wish there was an easier way to find your band, Nordic, though. Every time I type that into anything, I have loads of other stuff to sift through lol LOVE your music though. Especially as a fellow mandolinist.
Thanks Ryan! I know what you´re talking about... We kind of got the name back in 2005, at that point we never considered Key words or social media accounts. We just thought it was a catchy band name. :-)
Gjermund looks so inspired in this performance!
Congratulations everyone!
So wonderful!
Beautiful tone colours and great dynamics, and what a sound from only six musicians!
Thanks Fredrick!
Wow wonderful music with beautiful weaving of melody rhythm and instruments, Such a great groove and all live. Thank you
All the swells really take you for a ride... Wow, that was gorgeous Magnus!
Thanks Marjorie! You seem to like a variety of music, just like me. :-)

Amazing and beautiful!
Thanks Virgil! Next week I will publish the Jerusalem Ridge tutorial. I hope it’s something for you.
I'd love to see the Jerusalem Ridge tuturial - a tune I've always liked but so far have't got around to learning!
Comin’ up! :-)
Magnus Zetterlund Thank you!
