Do all those kids return to these lessons now and recall how happy a time it was and how lucky they were to have this exceptional teacher?
Not going to lie, I relearn all my lessons from your videos the day before my test HAHA
Star Wars theme but Star Trek outfit? Erm?
A trek to the war of the stars
you're amazing! My pre cal teacher confuses me & i totally get it watching ur vids. thanksssssssss :)
Thank you SO much. I was using brightstorm, but it's no longer a free service and I wasn't able to view the videos anymore. Because I'm self-learning, I need it. I'm trying to go from CPII algebra II to honours calculus in a year. These videos are life-savers. I cannot thank you enough.
Oh my God at 3:59 I swear A horse walked into the Room and made that noise.
this shit is better than khan academy, yaymath :D
right bhai
khan academy India is better than it
I fainted at aughing at the Intro quote. "If I had a choice, I'd do math all day ... But I can't" XD
this helped a lot for pre cal test! have to cram this info in one night!!!
Those two points a units away from "the vertex" are actually the vertices and the starting point is the center. :)
You make me enjoy math... Rock on!
I OWE MY LIFE TO YOUUUUUUU!!!!!!
You saved my life! THANK YOU!
Thank you for existing!!
what is the point of the foci?
AND.... I'm in love.
Iam enjoying watching this videobcs i had taken alesson like the same hyperbola
Isn't it supposed to be THE CENTER instead of the VERTEX? :)
Yes, that's true. It is the center, instead of the vertex.
This is helping me SOOOO much!
I only clicked on this video because of the star trek thumbnail
Thanks a ton!
helping
He doesn't upload the times he gets mad
y u no be my teacher!!??
I wouldn't be making a 93 in my algebra 2 class for liberty university if it wasn't for you
+Sean Mcgrew Same HAHAHA
Be MY TEACHER!
Omg the first 20 secs of this vid LOL
CRINGE
Can u be my math teacher?
I really wish that you were my math teacher! You really help me understand things, something my teacher can't even do when he's in the same room as me! Thanks mate!
I've always wanted Joaquin Phoenix to dress up like Spock and teach me math
love all your videos and you and your class's enthusiasm. i share your page with all my peers.
My teacher taught this lesson is 1 hour and 30 minutes (block schedule) and I didn't get as much information from him plus it was confusing and by watching this 26 minute video it's so much easier now.
you are awesome !!! you make math fun and easy to understand
omg I love you!! I never realized these are so recent. In fact I think my teacher taught this lesson the same DAY. lol tommorow is the test and before this video I was staring at all my undone HW and CW and now I don't understand how I couldn;t see it!! I spent sleepless days stressing about my grades and crying when its actually soooo easy! Thankyou!! This the 1st yr I've ever failed math and these videos help me turn that around!!!
This was like the best 26 minutes of my learning career. Thanks Yay Math and class.
Thank you Mr. Mathking
Dude... this professor is the SHIT!
14:38 students voice like zombies 😂😂😂😂tttwwwooooo!!
thanks so much for uploading!
hey
You are an awesome Teacher!!
We were about to take our quiz for circles & ellipses and my teacher randomly started spitting out information about hyperbolas and then said to start on the quiz. How were we supposed to retain that if we didn't even have a chance to take notes?
Thank you for this really easy explanation though :)
5 years old but I still watch these before my tests and I don't know if it's your enthusiasm or you're just good at explaining but I usually understand better with your vids.
oh lordy i thought you were 5 years old
Am I the only nerd that was confused why they were using the star wars song, not the star trek one? But at least he wasn't wearing a red shirt.
Kudos, teaching with cosplay - great combo. My chem teacher used to do that. Most memorable classes/teacher I had.
wait so is c square equal to a square plus b square, how come he didn't square both the 9 and 4?
i only clicked this video because the professor teaching MATH is wearing a STAR TREK SHIRT
Star wars. It's a different sound track. I'm pretty sure, although I haven't seen star trek for a while. However, I'm glad there's a nerd fandom reference here. Oh and you'd totally pull off kirk. In fact, I' quite mad at the new series. YaymathXstartrek fandom would be a very nice crossover.
then you have to complete the square so for the x values take the -10 out of the (-10x) and divided it by 2 so its 5 then square it so it will be 25 so it will look like this:
9(x^2-10x+25)-4(y^2)=-129+(25*9)
Can you give out harder problems...cuz my teacher is making us put the regular form of the equation into standard form, and there are always coefficient. So I'll be really happy if you can put those kinds on problems and worked them out.
Then Add the 24 on both sides to cancel it
9x^2-90x-4y^2-24(+24)=-153(+24)
9x^2-90x-4y^2=-129
Then find the greatest common factor so the question will look like this
9(x^2-10x)-4(y^2)+-129
i need help i have a question like 9x^2-4y^2-90x-24=-153
I tried my best into making it look like a hyperbola equation but i think this one has beaten me HELP PLEASE
when c=+-root 13...you said that the two point were (root 13, 0) and (-root 13,0) but you didn't put -root 13 on the board. u left it (13,0). Just saying! :)
Horrible humor, but I learned something
Then solve
9(x^2-10x+25)-4(y^2)=-129+(25*9)
9(x^2-10x+25)-4(y^2)=96
then foil the x equation side
9(x-5)^2-4(y+0)^2=96
thank's i have learned already.
0:15 is so funny
This really helped! Thank you so much 🤗
Please be my college algebra teacher
(-13,0) ? I think its wrong it should be ( -√13, 0)
Omg best videos for math because he makes math fun instead of boring
If you haven't gotten 100s on all ur conic tests in honors pre calc that's silly. I heard it only gets worse from here.
how did u know my exact class
damn.... seriously your helping me pass algebra 2 so i can go to college
Lots of love for you sir 💕💕
9x^2-90x-4y^2-24=-153
first put the X's and Y's together.
Love your sweater. Star Trek is the best!
I disagree with your slope of your asymptotes. Your box you created is a rectangle with diagonal lines which means they are perpendicular. If they are indeed perpendicular then their respective slopes are opposite reciprocals, so one will be 1/2 and the other would be -2/1
Diagonals of rectangle aren't perpendicular.
You missed a square root on -square root 13.
I always excited to learn math
(MIVOX, MIVOY):
Most Interesting Value of X
Most Interesting Value of Y
(y-3)^2 can never be negative but it can be zero only when y is positive 3. So 3 is the MIVOY.
Likewise for x = -2
YAY MATH!!
What... Star Wars Copy Right
Thanks for the teachings
great!....tanx a ton!!!
It's already squared.
First off, you are such an amazing teacher, so thank you for practically saving me in math before I almost began to fail! Keep up the great work! Secondly, I have clicked on three separate videos to see if the introduction songs were different & they were! Haha. It's nice that you involve your students, because it seems to me that they enjoy it.(: Their questions that they ask are like ones that I would ask as well, so it is very helpful! Thank you so much, & again keep up the great work!(:
Thanks
u r great
dude this math teacher is amazing y cant he teach at my school
I was watching one of your different videos and I honestly clicked on this one just because I saw your shirt
really helped! thanks. hope u continue posting these vids sir, very helpful :)
Teacher you are awesome, i am brazilian and you are the best teacher that i found
i feel like i'm present on that class LOL. :D hope to meet you sir.

All the best
May god bless you
continue help people
oh wow i cant believe i missed that thank you!
Thanks, helped me on my pre calculus test!
Algebra 2/Trig test tomorrow. Love you. :D
Bruh the ends of the latus rectu, bro where is it
The transition from goofiness to hardcore seriousness is awkward.
Thank you! God bless you! :)
You made my life easy. 😍
Love you forever.
I am color blind and I cant make out some of the things that are on the board
