- Do you know a famous scientific theory that can calculate the future of you and the universe ?
I’ve got a couple of questions for you: When you woke up this morning, did you think that you'd click on this video later today, and we'd meet and spend this wonderful time together? Do you think that things just happen by coincidence? Or is there an invisible force that connected you and me, and everything else around us?
At this point some of you are probably thinking that I’m going to talk about predestined relationships or reincarnation stories today. But actually, I wanted to talk to you about a famous theory in the field of science that gives many scientists headaches when they think about it. The theory is called Laplace’s intellect, also known as Laplace's demon.

As knowledge of the field increases then the usefulness of probability decreases, isn't probability just a short cut or tool to ultimately get to a result without being bogged down with streams of non critical data?
For an intelligence vast enough there would be no time since there'd be no information absent from it for time to convey.

Is it compatible with quantum mechanics?
I am not quite sure. In quantum mechanics, people's mind activity can influce the future. This finding somehow conflicts with the basis of Laplace's Intellect.

Well, all fun and stuff, but as far as I know "quantum probability" is a rather accepted concept. I dont think this universe is so deterministic.
This still doesnt mean sh*t about wether god exists or not. I think an entity which can comprehend more than one dimension of space-time pretty much sounds like a god to me.

I don't think there is a "so what". Reality doesnt care about "so what". I don't think we will ever come to a conclusion of enlightenment from determinism. It's just an eerie law of nature.

The video brushes off the effect of quantum mechanics on LaPlace. The discovery of the particle wave function in the 1920s and the related uncertainty principle are widely accepted use of quantum physics. They should have been addressed as denying the existence of Laplace has Theory. I'm not sure what this channel has in mind but for this video it's not a clear presentation of the issue. Dislike the video and will definitely not subscribe
