I always suck at these videos! and I planned ahead to wear my headphones so the mic was right there and then I got some interference in the sound, I've dropped the background noise, but it still might be far too annoying for some!

Don't apologise for not filming while shopping, I don't know how you manage to all your shopping done let alone taking the extra time it takes to film. If people don't like your 'talking head' bits then it's their choice to watch or not but they really don't need to make useless comments about it.
Your channel popped up on my feed last week and I have been binge watching all your old videos, I'm amazed at how well you shop, prepare and use the food you buy and the wide variety of food you cook, on the equipment you have.
Honestly, if I could give this one a dozen likes I would do so in a heartbeat. You really show what goes into doing your regular grocery shopping (unlike the US homesteaders spending thousands every month on their organic hauls, but then afterwards just popping to the store to pick up the special ingredient they need to batch-cook the family meals they’ve supposedly pre-planned…) and I know we all feel for you when we see what you need to do to make it work. These are rapidly becoming even more of a favourite than seeing the hauls themselves so please keep doing them - that jenga loading up of the ute and trailer was fascinating!
Lol you are so right about some other channels. Most of them have never learned the "use what you have" concept.
You do an amazing job with the driving , taking the trailer, all the shopping and loading and unloading! It's exhausting just watching it! Your mum is a treasure!

You are the abdolute best at organization and time management!!! Most folks can't get enough supplies and food in one trip to last a week without stopping off somewhere for another item. You do it for a 8 weeks! AND the kids are fed real nutrition not crap prepackaged garbage. You are a true inspiration.

Really enjoyed this one with the snippets from each shop. It's such a mental load to keep track of everything and make sure you're getting what you need, I'm not surprised that you need to do it alone to concentrate. Very impressive! I would need to have SUCH a detailed list in order to not forget things. It didn't look like you got much from the butcher this trip, so I'll be watching the next video to see for sure!
The butcher didn’t have a huge amount, I got most of my normal from Costco though :)

@@OurSmallFootprint what a kind birthday treat for your mum haha. Oh I understand about not wanting to snack while driving in the dark. Especially if there is a chance of kangaroos jumping out in front of you! (Not sure if you would have that problem where you drive). That sort of thing freaks me out (one jumped on my mum's car once on her way home from work. It was so lucky she wasn't killed!)
Boston Donuts are aaaaaaamazing! The bid off is always my go-to as well. And they make great coffee! What a huge trip this time holy moley, it looked bigger than your Christmas shopping trip 😂. Great work!
They're such a treat, but so worth while lol, Mum loves the lemon meringue too, but I always get that, so went slightly diff this time and we enjoyed them both! It felt huge! dollar value in the end wasn't much more than normal (per week) but it still felt considerable!

It's coming up to 6am on Sunday here in the UK as I am typing. I need to be up at 6am for the cat's meds & I'm going to go into work for a few hours to catch up as I have 2 meetings & minute writing next week xx
Those are some mad organizing skills you have! Live the black with yellow lid totes. I must have 20 of them with everything from Christmas and other holiday decor to outdoor storage. They are a great investment and hold up 100 times better than other storage totes.

I learnt the hard way to not allow substitutes ie uncheck the box, for certain items for home deliveries, probably click n collects also. Like your family, there are some non negotiables with regards to ingredients in products.

I do click it on a bunch of things but I’ll have to remember to make sure with that one as well! Some things I don’t mind, like the rice milk and the corn chips etc but yeah, was silly of me not to on those!

Tip for sheets is the Harris scaff sakes mid year or end of year. I get realy good brands for cheaper than cheap ones at big w. You can order on line to your mums maybe.

Hi, I thought that this maybe helpful. Many years ago my mum used to trace around our feet onto a piece of cardboard when she wanted to get us shoes and we couldn't be there to try them on since we were in school. He did it for dads shoes as well. I just went to Kmart here in New Zealand to get myself slippers and pjs too. 😊
A few people have suggested that! I'll have to give it a go, I even measured their feet and ordered shoes online recently and they still turned up and were too big lol.

I always draw around my kids feet on paper and cut it out and take that to the shops with me :) hasn’t failed me yet 😅
Hehe, I measured them before I ordered shoes online recently and still somehow screwed up and had to return the shoes!

Best and less had some great ones, though I forgot to end up showing them, but some great name brand jeans for $9.98 and some trackpants and long shorts for $7 etc, I got a big bag full for $100 and it's all sizing that will fit most of the 5 younger kids, they can still mostly share which makes life easier lol.

I have no problem with driving a manual transmission, but driving on the Left makes my mind short circuit! 😂 And seeing K-Marts! I just recently found out they still exist in Australia 🇦🇺

Well you definitely had an adventure this time. Hard with the extra needed to cover longer periods of time. Not to mention getting hold of all the other bits and bobs to set up the new rooms. And it had to rain, blast! Well done. I bought a pair of those slipper socks from Woolworths after Mothers Day a few years back. One wash and they were no longer fitting and went all skewwiff. I’m sure they have improved since when I got a pair. Hot dogs another night, no dramas I’m sure. It gets dark so early now, it does my head in. The lack of light come 5.30 - 6.00 pm. I was thinking, I hope Nyssa has no car problems on the way home. What a drama with all that load it would be. Happy Birthday to your mum. Did you get to go out? I think I would’ve been too tired and ordered in instead. Phew!

They will get pretty dirty, but it’s just sand/dust, we’ll just have to wash them regularly. And I kinda like that they’ll be taken off when going outside. They prob wouldn’t take the hard soled ones off and then trek more dirt inside!

I wouldn't have thought they would be deep enough for the ensembles! But I couldn't find any KS fitted sheets either! I have to order some more online, I put one set on my amazon list and they were bought for the girls! which was lovely, but I was going to buy a flannelette set as well for winter and nowhere had KS (at a decent price)

Maybe call Aldi ahead of time and ask them to put a case or cases of what you need in those large quantities to save you running around to a few shops. I have asked Aldi previously, though not tried ringing ahead, but they don't seem to have stock available outside of whats on the shelves mostly! everytime I've asked about anything, they always go check and come back with, nope, everything we have is on the shelf!
Mum used to take a paper cutout of our feet to the shops if we weren’t going with her haha
People have mentioned that! I did measure the kids feet and order them winter closed in shoes online doing that and they were still too big *sigh* lol, so I returned some and bought smaller and they're still a little too big, but tolerable enough to keep.... so I think I was shoe shy!

Hello ❤ an I was going to ask u what u when it rains but I would keep a tarp to cover the trailer when it's packed up with stuff.... ❤ 😂 An I can't wait to c the new rooms when theyr done.🎉
I considered a tarp, but the biggest issue with a tarp is they flap around so much, it is so hard to keep them pinned down securely, though with that new bigger net it would probably work a lot better!
