went in 2023, had easily the worst ride I've ever had on loch ness and thats sad cause it was my third ever coaster. So happy to see them giving it the treatment it deserves as a legendary coaster
I do not think they intend to make it happen because they would both loop even before the refurbishment during testing, but it does not work out when filling trains with realistic dispatch times. The ride is programmed to not let the next train go before the other one clears the brakes before the tunnel, so it would need to bolt up the first lift a lot faster to come close to making it to the first loop in time. It seems to be going the same speed up lift one and I doubt they plan to send trains earlier with a maximum of two trains running.
I have not been watching updates for this for that long. I live in CA and I am going to BGW this June. Not till recently I have looked into this so I don’t fully know the details, but I assumed they would have new trains. Anyways, what can I expect going in?
They’re still the trains the park got in 2018 but they have a new paint job. As for the theming in the cave, I have no clue, but there is a lot of new theming in the outdoor extended queue as well as the main queue line
My only problem with the ride is that I feel like they should have done the trains justice and give it vest restraints so even if parts of it are rough there would be no head banging.
You'd think Bush Gardens would have used a set of small magnetic Trim Brakes, instead of the current Trim Brakes before the Train enters the 1st of 2 rebuilt Interlocking Loops. Have enough Magnetic Brakes to still match the speed of the Trains. There's no replacing Magnetic Brakes because they don't wear down from Heat, and Friction. And I still say that The Loops could have been reconstructed to be supported by The Traditional Tubular Steel Columns like you see on the later Arrow Dynamics Rollercoasters. They give the Inversions a Sleeker Look. The Lattice Arches are So Ugly.
I would have to disagree there. While yes there are benefits to magnetic brakes, I don’t think that would be very practical and would just cost more. As for the loop reconstruction, the track was replaced during this Reno, but again, It wouldn’t be very practical to redo the support structure.
I very much disagree on the visuals of the support structure. That is a matter of your opinion and most people would disagree with your opinion. I think the arches are gorgeous.
@@traviserwin1 Hmm. I had a dream about this . Odd. Now it happens. Better than closing it. Arrow is gone, so is it still an Arrow ? Like. A refit of a ship. Same ship or no? Thanks for info. Sounds like it's running smooth 😃
It looks like it’s running smooth
It so good to see Nessie running again,I missed hearing the roar of the trains.
I did too!!
My very first coaster looking PERFECT. Can't wait to ride!
I’m super stoked as well!!
Wow, looks terrific!
I agree!!

Excellent video thankyou great historic ride I rode it many times
Thank you!! It’s a fun ride!
I really thought they would try to send them through the loops together again.
Apparently they were trying to yesterday, but the additional weight from the water dummies wouldn’t allow it to happen.
@@traviserwin1 So maybe we'll see it soon if they were trying/planning to.
@@Aftermath779 I sure hope so
I had hoped they would again as well.

There really can’t because of how the clearance envelope is, it’s really tight.
I wonder what will be new in the tunnel
Me too!! I’m super excited
Your destiny...
I’ve ridden it may times and love it. But what’s going to be different? It’s was a rough ride before.
They replaced 900’ of track and are giving it new theming and better storytelling
Do you have any footage of it going up the lift. Does it still have the glorious arrow lift hill sound.
It still has the same beautiful sound! I’ll post it as a short!
It seems faster in the turnaround before loop 1
I was thinking the same thing!
What parts of the ride were retracked?
The first valley, both loops, and lift 2
Is the plan still to reopen in May (next month) 2024?
May 10th is the opening! Members can ride starting May 2nd
@@traviserwin1 So that's less than a month from now.
I can’t wait ❤🎉
Same!!
Can’t wait for itt
Same!
Interesting that one train seems to have all it's decals and the other has none.
That will come later, testing took priority, decals are easy to put on.
Was there always a seven car train? I thought it was a six car train before.
So when it opened in 1978 it ran 6 car trains, but sometime during the opening year they were lengthened to 7 cars.
Always been 7 that I recall. That's since 81 for me at least

Where's the monster?
(KI'ish What's in the shed?)
That shed by the first turn around👀
@@traviserwin1 the shed at mystic timbers ending. Hype,no hype
@@rootsthebook I know, they added a shed to Nessie tho

@ellexking9136 great answer! Lol
What the hell a new loch ness NO...
They renovated the old one! They replaced 900 feet of track and are adding more theming elements!
