The packaging looks amazing! People in Asia do prefer more naturally looking “no makeup, makeup” looks. So colors tend to be more saturated on the skin, and lipsticks are usually just blotted onto lips for an innocent look. That’s just the vibe in Asia.
Some Asians take offense if you are not specific of what region you're talking about since people are usually referring to East Asians when they say Asia/Asian. And I know you're referring to East and possibly *some* Southeast Asian countries, right? I'm pretty sure, for the most part, that they do their makeup differently in South, West and Central Asia (not everyone of course); it's probably still less dramatic than US style makeup but not as "natural, no makeup" looking as they do it in East Asia.

I bought this makeup last year and it does not disappoint. Even more stunning in person. The shadows are more sheer but on purpose. The lipstick is gorgeous. Literally everything is awesome. I can't say enough good things about their makeup.

We as a culture are so expectant of big and bold so to us we expect the colours to give so much pigmentation that we have to blend it down but they are the opposite in their makeup. If you watch any Korean, Chinese, or Japanese traditional makeup it looks as if they don’t have any makeup on. They use makeup to only enhance their features and give them a very beautiful within looks. The package and the makeup itself are stunning and I think it’s important to have a different viewpoint when considering this brand.
Small facts: this brand is really affordable in China, especially with holiday sale. The reason why US price is a bit higher is because all the taxes 😂 I mean A LOT of taxes
The collection is by far the most beautiful I've ever seen so far packaging wise. I'm not that impressed with the colour payoffs on the eyeshadows. But then again they are from China. And their makeup culture is way more subtle and softer than the western makeup culture which is more pigmented, punchy, intense and very in-your-face colour payoffs. As consumers, its more about making choices and knowing what you like and establishing your own makeup style. Some people like softer applications so this collection is for those people.

For those curious as to the packaging of the lipstick, they're designed in the shape of ancient Chinese locks that were used in the past. The "key" part you push to get the lipstick out is where the actual key goes. You put the key in, push it and the locking mechanism comes off. So cool to see they integrated it into a lipstick container design.

Because he has very strong features and prominent brow bones, even without brows the shadow that his bones create mimicks the look of eyebrows, so when he has his eyebrows back he doesn't seem too different from his usual look

This brand of make up is called 花西子(huaxizi), Florasis (implying flower goddess) in English. It's a rather new but famous Chinese brand that brands themselves for using natural herbs and ingredients to produce good and clean make up. There's many good info on Wikipedia (in Chinese though) if you want to know more about the brand before buying their products.

I've known this brand for a while and their products are flawless. Every single item just gives of the feeling that a ton of work was put into it. Also: even though I hate how wasteful a lot of makeup packaging is - they get a free pass. Because THIS is packaging you keep. It's not throwaway plastic garbage, this is like a treasure you put on display and hold on to even long after the makeup is gone. This is what packaging should be like.

I really appreciate that Jeffree didn’t bash the pigmentation or this being a more natural makeup. We all know he lives for pigment and bold shades so usually natural makeup just doesn’t impress him but I think he was really nice, fair and did this brand justice. Makeup looks in countries are so different too so of course makeup from China will be different from USA makeup. China is more about skincare and natural beauty and enhancing what they have. Us here in America….not so much lol. We do have natural makeup trends come and go but nothing like China. I think this brand was gorgeous and I loved the 2nd lipstick he tried, the pinkish neutral color. I don’t know how popular this brand is but I hope they get a lot of sales bc of this, they deserve it. They clearly care about the details.

God damn, I never thought 花西子 would make it to Jeffree. This feels unreal. Here is the thing, This brand is one of the most popular Chinese indigenous brands, known for its packaging and depiction of Chinese aesthetics. Its quality, on the other hand...meh. I mean, I would give it a passing grade. It just does not match up to its packaging in my opinion. I buy them for collecting purposes. But compared to many foreign brands which mean taxes and shipping, it is actually cheaper. Two words - worth it. I feel really proud and happy that Chinese makeup finally has some exposure here, and people around the world get to see how beautiful it is. There are also many other creative Chinese indigenous makeup brands that are not only way cheaper but also amazingly beautiful. Thank you so much, Jeffree!
@@goguma46 Alright get ready girl, I've got a list. My personal favorite is Croxx, they aim for the luxurious gothic feel, I FUCKING LOVE IT. I feel like a rich, smart, powerful widowed countess from the 16th century holding her eye shadow pallet, like Cinderella's stepmother. Its quality is alright, better than this one in the video in my opinion. The packaging is not as detailed as fluoresces but on point. But this is a rather small brand, even many Chinese buyers do not know it. And 10 hours after this post, I just found out that the brand is now shut down by the Chinese government. Girl Cult is another one. They use ideas from ancient Chinese literature about goblins, yokai, and mountain spirits in their packaging. It is so adorable yet unique, not your everyday cuteness. I honestly feel like this brand is what Luna Lovegood would use. They are known for their blushes. Or at least is what I know them for. They have many other lines. Then there is the famous brand called the Perfect Dairy, they have so many lines, and you can probably get it even in the U.S. Its quality is generally okay (better than fluoresces), but just like all other brands, they also have products that are like shit. Its packaging is not as astounding but it is quite cute. There is also one that is cheap, great quality, but a really normal packaged brand named Spenny. Its products are cheap as hell, but its quality, girl, above and beyond, at least for its price. Now I don't know with taxes and shipping if it is still worth it getting it in the U.S. But for a cheap girl here in China, my go-to. I even want to post a video and tell you guys about it. Cuz there is so many. Have you ever had somebody ask you about your favorite thing？ That is how I feel right now🤣

Hello Jeffree, thank you for your review. i thought the same about the eyeshadow as well, but i recently bought a lot of Florasis products and were gifted their brushes. their brushes were actually made of synthetic fibre and picks up their pigments really well....the fibres were dense, and you will find that some of the glittery or metalic eye shadow is somewhat cream in nature in which case the synthetic fibres complimented the performance of the es. FYI Each palette has an engraving that tells of a poem or legend.
I love this version of Jeffree Star. Being in beautiful nature, amongst animals can bring more peace and serenity to one's life than anything. You're definitely growing and I love this new low drama girl life.

I actually bought this a couple months back, and I love it. Their cushion foundation is very light and decent coverage which I wanted. I am acne prone skin and it work well on my face. The eyeshadows is amazing and so is everything in the line. Everything are just amazing and beautiful and very nice to have on display

I've been using this brand since its launched. Beautiful and high quality products. Just FYI, to open the ginseng lip mask, you can insert the spatula through the hole and turn it to open. The spatula act as a handle for the top. I used the lip mask every night before going to bed and would wake up with really soft and supple lips. It's the best and I would usually buy it and give it away as small gifts. Asian makeup are usually more subtle, so the colors are not as vibrant on the first swatch. You've said it best, it's more demure. But with this product, it's buildable which is why it's versatile and cater to western makeup lovers as well. Overall, Florasis is one of my favourite makeup brand so far. Thanks for reviewing this brand. It's a well-deserved, Approved. ♥️

Love how Jeffree is trying Asian brands. I do agree with the pigments. They’re not as strong as the brands Jeffree makes (or The Western side makeup community makes). For me, it doesn’t pop out in person and in camera photos but it does give more of like a subtle “natural” color on your skin. Love the lipstick shade done on their lips. It’s how mostly some of us do where we darken the center then fades on the edges of our lips. (Reminds me of how Koran Idols on K-dramas) they usually top it off either Matte looking or gloss. Whichever you prefer it would look plump and gorgeous! IMHO I think the Korean brands would “last longer” 😁
I’f love to see Etude House, Dolly wink, heavy rotation & other korean/japanese Brands & their collabs & for him to do these typical looks like, ulzzang, gyaru, natural beauty (korean, japanese), visual kei…etc that would be cool. At the same time I’m hesitant to support JS bco he’d been disgustingly problematic for decades & the apologies seemed genuine, but now I feel like it was manipulation…I’m still not sure if it’s growth or just a mask. Not here to be a downer, but I think it’s important to talk abt who ppl wants to support give the power & resources to…There are so many talented ppl that work just as hard, that never Get the shine…even if we made them a star, they’d light & bright up the day & guide us through the night.

It’s a hit and miss but I think you’ll definitely love them! I’ve noticed Asian make up products put a lot of effort with aesthetics on their product especially the boxes and designs on each pallet like the ones JS showed! Oh and some of them have scents too!
those subtle looks where nice, the ones that actually worked i mean. JFC has some amazing makeup on their own, but if you combined his products with these, gurl you'd be slaying that run way.
I think the break Jeffree had, the move..basically a new beginning, has really done wonders for him. He is looking fresh and you can feel how happy he is. Looking forwards to more videos this year :)

The packaging looks amazing! People in Asia do prefer more naturally looking “no makeup, makeup” looks. So colors tend to be more saturated on the skin, and lipsticks are usually just blotted onto lips for an innocent look. That’s just the vibe in Asia.
Some Asians take offense if you are not specific of what region you're talking about since people are usually referring to East Asians when they say Asia/Asian. And I know you're referring to East and possibly *some* Southeast Asian countries, right? I'm pretty sure, for the most part, that they do their makeup differently in South, West and Central Asia (not everyone of course); it's probably still less dramatic than US style makeup but not as "natural, no makeup" looking as they do it in East Asia.

I bought this makeup last year and it does not disappoint. Even more stunning in person. The shadows are more sheer but on purpose. The lipstick is gorgeous. Literally everything is awesome. I can't say enough good things about their makeup.

No...the elephant in the room is the fact you look refreshed, so much happier and you look like a whole new person - the hair, the brows, your features are really coming through. I am actually stunned to see how you look, in the best ways. But what I am more stunned about is your ENERGY. I hope I'm not counting the chickens before they hatch (ranch reference) but I can almost sense some major growth, MATURITY development, and some self-love connecting with this absence. I think you moving away from all the drama, that toxic city, and everyone around you, separating completely is the best thing you could have done. I also did this, I grew so much as a person when I disconnected completely and moved away. A REAL fresh start. The internet is the other thing, taking that break is so needed and I think over 3/4 of people don't think to do that because it's become a necessity, an addiction, a "must-have". We as a culture are so expectant of big and bold so to us we expect the colours to give so much pigmentation that we have to blend it down but they are the opposite in their makeup. If you watch any Korean, Chinese, or Japanese traditional makeup it looks as if they don’t have any makeup on. They use makeup to only enhance their features and give them a very beautiful within looks. The package and the makeup itself are stunning and I think it’s important to have a different viewpoint when considering this brand.
Small facts: this brand is really affordable in China, especially with holiday sale. The reason why US price is a bit higher is because all the taxes 😂 I mean A LOT of taxes
The collection is by far the most beautiful I've ever seen so far packaging wise. I'm not that impressed with the colour payoffs on the eyeshadows. But then again they are from China. And their makeup culture is way more subtle and softer than the western makeup culture which is more pigmented, punchy, intense and very in-your-face colour payoffs. As consumers, its more about making choices and knowing what you like and establishing your own makeup style. Some people like softer applications so this collection is for those people.

For those curious as to the packaging of the lipstick, they're designed in the shape of ancient Chinese locks that were used in the past. The "key" part you push to get the lipstick out is where the actual key goes. You put the key in, push it and the locking mechanism comes off. So cool to see they integrated it into a lipstick container design.

After that I quit the obvious sins smoking drinking drugs p***. Then God filled me with the Holy Spirit show me the rest of my sins. Then he started giving me dreams about the end times. So you cannot believe all you want but I'm not the only one there's plenty of people talking about the end times because God's calling the whole world to repentance. Cuz he's really going to judge the world. God showed me he's going to remove his church and all the children on the Earth. You showed me Barack Obama will be the Antichrist and offer the mark of the beast and the one world religion. And he said anybody who takes the mark automatically goes to hell. So if you don't get right with Jesus you're going to have to die a horrible death no matter what you're going to have to get your head cut off for not taking the mark of the beast or you take the mark of the beast and you go to hell forever. So if I was you I would literally just confess and turn from sin at home to Jesus like I did because that offers only on the table for so long once he removes his church you have to suffer.

This brand of make up is called 花西子(huaxizi), Florasis (implying flower goddess) in English. It's a rather new but famous Chinese brand that brands themselves for using natural herbs and ingredients to produce good and clean make up. There's many good info on Wikipedia (in Chinese though) if you want to know more about the brand before buying their products.

I've known this brand for a while and their products are flawless. Every single item just gives of the feeling that a ton of work was put into it. Also: even though I hate how wasteful a lot of makeup packaging is - they get a free pass. Because THIS is packaging you keep. It's not throwaway plastic garbage, this is like a treasure you put on display and hold on to even long after the makeup is gone. This is what packaging should be like.

I really appreciate that Jeffree didn’t bash the pigmentation or this being a more natural makeup. We all know he lives for pigment and bold shades so usually natural makeup just doesn’t impress him but I think he was really nice, fair and did this brand justice. Makeup looks in countries are so different too so of course makeup from China will be different from USA makeup. China is more about skincare and natural beauty and enhancing what they have. Us here in America….not so much lol. We do have natural makeup trends come and go but nothing like China. I think this brand was gorgeous and I loved the 2nd lipstick he tried, the pinkish neutral color. I don’t know how popular this brand is but I hope they get a lot of sales bc of this, they deserve it. They clearly care about the details.

God damn, I never thought 花西子 would make it to Jeffree. This feels unreal. Here is the thing, This brand is one of the most popular Chinese indigenous brands, known for its packaging and depiction of Chinese aesthetics. Its quality, on the other hand...meh. I mean, I would give it a passing grade. It just does not match up to its packaging in my opinion. I buy them for collecting purposes. But compared to many foreign brands which mean taxes and shipping, it is actually cheaper. Two words - worth it. I feel really proud and happy that Chinese makeup finally has some exposure here, and people around the world get to see how beautiful it is. There are also many other creative Chinese indigenous makeup brands that are not only way cheaper but also amazingly beautiful. Thank you so much, Jeffree!

My personal favorite is Croxx, they aim for the luxurious gothic feel, I FUCKING LOVE IT. I feel like a rich, smart, powerful widowed countess from the 16th century holding her eye shadow pallet, like Cinderella's stepmother. Its quality is alright, better than this one in the video in my opinion. The packaging is not as detailed as fluoresces but on point. But this is a rather small brand, even many Chinese buyers do not know it. And 10 hours after this post, I just found out that the brand is now shut down by the Chinese government.
Girl Cult is another one. They use ideas from ancient Chinese literature about goblins, yokai, and mountain spirits in their packaging. It is so adorable yet unique, not your everyday cuteness. I honestly feel like this brand is what Luna Lovegood would use. They are known for their blushes. Or at least is what I know them for. They have many other lines.
Then there is the famous brand called the Perfect Dairy, they have so many lines, and you can probably get it even in the U.S. Its quality is generally okay (better than fluoresces), but just like all other brands, they also have products that are like shit. Its packaging is not as astounding but it is quite cute.
There is also one that is cheap, great quality, but a really normal packaged brand named Spenny. Its products are cheap as hell, but its quality, girl, above and beyond, at least for its price. Now I don't know with taxes and shipping if it is still worth it getting it in the U.S. But for a cheap girl here in China, my go-to.

The packaging is UNREAL! Truly works of art that would look great displayed. Wasn't too impressed with the palettes. The first lipstick was stunning though, and looked like it went on so easily! And the lipstick containers are so cool!

Hello Jeffree, thank you for your review. i thought the same about the eyeshadow as well, but i recently bought a lot of Florasis products and were gifted their brushes. their brushes were actually made of synthetic fibre and picks up their pigments really well....the fibres were dense, and you will find that some of the glittery or metalic eye shadow is somewhat cream in nature in which case the synthetic fibres complimented the performance of the es. FYI Each palette has an engraving that tells of a poem or legend.
I love this version of Jeffree Star. Being in beautiful nature, amongst animals can bring more peace and serenity to one's life than anything. You're definitely growing and I love this new low drama girl life.
im so happy he tried this brand and that he kept an open mind. Especially when the brand is from asia where the makeup styles are more natural and subtle.

I actually bought this a couple months back, and I love it. Their cushion foundation is very light and decent coverage which I wanted. I am acne prone skin and it work well on my face. The eyeshadows is amazing and so is everything in the line. Everything are just amazing and beautiful and very nice to have on display

I've been using this brand since its launched. Beautiful and high quality products. Just FYI, to open the ginseng lip mask, you can insert the spatula through the hole and turn it to open. The spatula act as a handle for the top. I used the lip mask every night before going to bed and would wake up with really soft and supple lips. It's the best and I would usually buy it and give it away as small gifts.
Asian makeup are usually more subtle, so the colors are not as vibrant on the first swatch. You've said it best, it's more demure. But with this product, it's buildable which is why it's versatile and cater to western makeup lovers as well. Overall, Florasis is one of my favourite makeup brand so far. Thanks for reviewing this brand. It's a well-deserved, Approved. ♥️

Love how Jeffree is trying Asian brands. I do agree with the pigments. They’re not as strong as the brands Jeffree makes (or The Western side makeup community makes). For me, it doesn’t pop out in person and in camera photos but it does give more of like a subtle “natural” color on your skin. Love the lipstick shade done on their lips. It’s how mostly some of us do where we darken the center then fades on the edges of our lips. (Reminds me of how Koran Idols on K-dramas) they usually top it off either Matte looking or gloss. Whichever you prefer it would look plump and gorgeous! IMHO I think the Korean brands would “last longer” 😁
I’f love to see Etude House, Dolly wink, heavy rotation & other korean/japanese Brands & their collabs & for him to do these typical looks like, ulzzang, gyaru, natural beauty (korean, japanese), visual kei…etc that would be cool. At the same time I’m hesitant to support JS bco he’d been disgustingly problematic for decades & the apologies seemed genuine, but now I feel like it was manipulation…I’m still not sure if it’s growth or just a mask.
Not here to be a downer, but I think it’s important to talk abt who ppl wants to support give the power & resources to…There are so many talented ppl that work just as hard, that never Get the shine…even if we made them a star, they’d light & bright up the day & guide us through the night.
For people as pale as me, this is exactly what I need. When it comes to heavily pigmented stuff, I have to cut it with powder.

It’s a hit and miss but I think you’ll definitely love them! I’ve noticed Asian make up products put a lot of effort with aesthetics on their product especially the boxes and designs on each pallet like the ones JS showed! Oh and some of them have scents too!
those subtle looks where nice, the ones that actually worked i mean. JFC has some amazing makeup on their own, but if you combined his products with these, gurl you'd be slaying that run way.

I heard that in Asian countries they prefer the subtle pigments while western countries prefer the bolder pigments. Since it is a Chinese brand I’d think they catered more towards subtle.

I love how secure and humble he is within himself. He’s a makeup artist and makeup creator, yet can still do reviews and admit when another makeup creator has a good formula ! Love it!

You guys don't realize Hell is real and partisapating in this stuff really will send you to Hell If you don't believe me ask God, I told my sins to Jesus at home. Then after I gave up the obvious sins, then God gave me dreams showing me my sins. It was the most embarassing thing EVER! Trust me when God shows you what you did and how wrong it is; you'll stop it! Thing is when you die their is no more chance and Hell isn't cool, in fact solitary confinment in eternal pain with all your thoughts surrounded by torment please rethink your stance on God he will answer your prayer and teach you personally God loves you but if you reject him he rejects you :(
