Wow!! After initially "meeting" Michael Kitchen in the most excellent series, "Foyle's War", what a pleasant surprise to see him at this very young age! Thanks
He was great in Out of Africa
@@hablin1 And Enchanted April, The Russia House, Dandelion Dead and much more.
@@hablin1 That's right!! I'd forgotten seeing him in that back when it opened in theatres.
@@VLind-uk6mb Hmm .. I've Seen RH, but not the other two. Thanks for the head's up!
Check him in Brimstone and Treacle. Proper creepy.
Nice to see a young Michael Kitchen.
The fabulous Beatrice Lehmann steals every scene! And the always wonderful Hildegarde Neil . Michael Kitchen, Roland Culver and Mary Wimbush. What a cast. All on top form. Great drama. Thank you.
This channel is amazing! Thank you so much for everything you share.

Then….BBC….made wonderful plays….a great choice of actors…including a very young Michael Kitchen too…all these actors were trained in repertory on the stage….the script based on a great book…then…how…the BBC mades a great dramatic entertainment plays….and….gave us nutrition for our minds….all those years…ago 😔
So much water has flowed

which has muddied our
view of the wildlife.
Love watching Michael Kitchen! Just recently discovered Foyle's War, which I absolutely love him in. Started trying to see him in everything I could, and oh my goodness, he plays some really awful men! But such a good actor you can't take your eyes off him.
Best years of british series, films , plays.... everything. Not anymore. Changes allover and not the good ones.
I do vaguely remember this. Michael Kitchen so difference now.
Do you look the same as you did 50 years ago? I certainly don’t. But then, I’m wiser than i was half a century ago.
Proper writing and proper acting, the like of which we seldom see nowadays on the telly. I am struck by just how unpalatable all the characters are. I don't like any of them! 😀😀
Quite. As it should be.
"Well, this is Mick Kitchen and that is my dining room"!
the kitchen is always very good
So he was young once!!
They've put tons of hairspray on Michael Kitchen's head to tame that mop of curls he has. I like it much better this way.
I think it's a wig!
Dr Legg! who knew he was multilingual
Excellent very excited to see this a big fan of Michael Kitchen. I don't know if anyone can help me in regards to a movie Kitchen was in with Peggy Ashcroft where they meet on a train and Kitchen gets untangled in a mystery it was around 1980. Any help would be much appreciated
It's available on DVD, copies from £5 in the UK www.amazon.co.uk/Caught-Train-DVD-Peggy-Ashcroft/dp/B0000AISIZ
Caught on a Train?
It was Caught on a Train, a part of BBC2 Playhouse. And you are right, it was 1980. It used to be on UA-cam but appears not to be any more.
@ClassicBritishTelly thank you much appreciated.
It's now 50 years after....😂
