I grew up in the era of Wham totally loved George Michael's music and creativity. Cried my eyes out when I heard he had passed away in December, 2016 right before Christmas... truly heartbreaking !! Such a loss of a great talent!
My favorite George Michael´s song is Last Christmas. I didn´t know much about him until 2022, I began to listen other songs that I have never heard, or maybe yes, but I didn´t know that were his songs. Since I "discovered" him, I have listen to all his beautiful music and to know more about his career and life. Oh, what a man, I love and admire him so much, although he is not with us, he is loved for all his legacy, and for being a great person. 😘❤😍
My favourite singer ever! Absolutely unique, inimitable voice, brilliant talent, expressive lyrics and iconic appearance. I love all of his songs but interestingly, some real gemstones of his carreer are so underrated. They are somehow not meant for the masses, they can't talk to everyone. Like, for instance, the album 'Songs from the last century' or songs like 'Praying for time', 'Spinning the wheel', 'To be forgiven', 'Cowboys and Angels', 'Waiting for that day'. I love his duets with other famous and talented singers like Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Astrud Gilberto, Mary J. Blige, these songs are remarkable, they really stand out. He also has some wonderful jazz songs like 'Kissing a fool'; I guess he loved jazz very much. Whenever he sang somebody else's well-known songs, my impression was that he was able to add a special extra 'layer', a new facet to it. Sometimes his version sounds much better (different) than the original one (Long and winding road, Roxane, Tonight, This kind of love etc). He was very talented, I truly miss him!
So sad that he is gone... The Lord God gave George an amazing talent...( I've been a fan since careless whisper)....love the emotions in the song and his beautiful voice.... Praying that he found Peace and Truth in who he Really was in Jesus Christ..... praying that we will see him in Heaven with The Lord... praying that he lives on ...as his music does...
