The saddest thing in Chess is when you play a trap perfectly, but your opponent suddenly plays some random move, which they don’t even understand but breaks your entire trap
true
So always plan according to their moves
Always lol like bruh I'm expecting a queen trade for my trap and they move their king randomly
@@wingman2h just a random pawn to h6 like what
So then you punish them for their stupid move

“Do you wanna play chess?”
“No! Boring!”

Haha
😂😂
That’s how I feel
lol
It’s only boring to boring people 😢
Instructions unclear, im in prison. They played E4, they was an illegal trap.

you mean illégal

Levy: "And your opponent does this"
Me: "No, they don't"
He can't fit every possible move in a video.
me fully prepared to do this i go e4 he goes c6
Opponent - That's illegal...
I took queen ,you have to
take my bishop
ME -No... It's Légal...
“Do you want to play chess?”
“No”
“Ok I’ll show you anyways!”
If your opponent captures your knight with his knight, take the bishop with your Queen, let him take your bishop and then go to b5, putting the king in check and attacking the knight
Finnaly i get the answer.. Thankyou

Thank you man!
Oh man,was looking for this comment, finally🥵
the fried liver on crack

the amount of times ive seen the legal trap today is insane

Levy is the only person that looks normal with and without glasses
bro fr, he can even change glasses and you don't even notice because it just looks natural on him no matter what
I'm so jealous of people like that lol
"Hm. Now why aren't you playing chess?"
"Nah, im too lazy to follow these steps"
"..."
If the opponent realises this trap then you are the one at loss since you will be a full bishop down
it only works if theres no Nf6 , otherwise don't play it
Now that I have learned this power, it's time to abuse it as much as possible
Wait till you find out that nobody ever goes d5
It is d6 actually
@@Guy.WhoAsked One of my opponents played d5 on the second move and ended up getting trapped. I had no life so I checked through their games and noticed that they played d5 and pinned the knight at every literal king’s pawn opening
More people need to know about this trap.
The only way to confuse my opponent is to confuse myself. 50% chance I'll checkmate them and I'll take those chances
Now we need the illégal trap
Yeah, the trespassing variation now!
This 99.99% won't work in beginner ratings, as it's just a clusterfuck of unpredictable moves.
Bongcloud best opening.
For the people wondering why he had to play h3 it's because if Nxe5, blacks knight can recapture while also protecting the bishop.
Even then: h3-Bh5, Nxe5-Nxe5, Qxh5-Nxc4, your attack is ruined and you down 2 pawns.
@@LimitlessLine Qb5+ captures the knight
@@mr.niceguy1706 right, didn't see that
Thanks!
By far the most entertaining chess channel I've seen. Levy makes chess fun and approachable.
Black when the piece if he take uses the knight (Nxe5) instead (exd5) (Qxh5-Nxc4)
Castling without glasses is just -O
My favorite trap. After several Legal executions people was afraid to took my queen even when I was completely in error.
This is my favourite checkmate. For aaages I used to get frustrated with that pointless bishop Knight pin. Usually always ended up trading a Knight for a bishop but then this happened
Finally he taught the "oh no my queen opening"
In Russian chess school this thing is called “Legal’s mate”
Instructions unclear. Got yelled at for not playing Vienna in a guess the elo.
Fun fact: the f2 and f7 squares are weak because only the king protects that square.
After I sacrificed my queen. I realised he wasn't 400 elo
It's a joke u nerds
isn’t mate forced after bishop takes queen?
Yes
Doesn't matter, its forced checkmate
It is a forced mate. Did you watch the entire video?
wait I even beat people with similar traps at 1100 elo
There's an easier way to do this. Don't attack the bishop, just do knight takes e5
"O no my queen"
nice, now Im gonna wait 3k+ games until someone play this combination of moves...
Btw the best move in chess is to alway move ur king forware
Imagine this: ur using white, pawn e4 bishop c4 queen h5 then queen fx7#. This is most commonly known as “The Scholars Mate”
Levy:And then we sacrifice our QUUUUEEEEEENNNNN
Edited:Thanks, First time I got more than 3 likes😅
Opponent: I'VE WON A QUEEEEEEEN
@@marcoplayz6821 hell nah
100 +
They moved their damn pawn to C5 instead of E5
"wanna play some chess?"
"No boring"
"Well theres 8 moves checkmate"
"Ok bro still boring"
I've played italian opening for quite hundreds of games. Knew the giuco piano, knew the fork, knew the counter as black but it's my first time learning this. I move differently once opponent moves d6. Now I'm gonna keep on spamming this variation since it seems very easy to encounter and do as a 1000 rated player 🤣
If they play our knight then ..
Gotham: you wanna play chess?
Friend: no
Gotham: well here is how you win in 8 moves😂😂
"how to win in chess with your luck be like"
80 games later, mistakes like this show up and then i forget the moves to do this lol
how to win chess in 1 move:
make your opponent forefit
Gothamchess: You can win in 8 moves
Disrespectful gambit: Ignore the first 8 moves and win
And even if the knight is taken here, Black has lost the central pawn
"Do you wanna play a game of chess"
"No"
"I see how it is..."
Of course my opponent pushed the pawn to d5 blocking my bishop so I won his bishop with my queen but they got my bishop right after.
'They moved a pawn'
Me: So we have 2 things happening
1. You get checkmated
2. You get checkmated
Here you go boys
1. e4, e5
2. Nf3, Nc6
3. Bc4, d6
4. Nc3, Bg4
5. h3, Bh5
6. Nxe5, Bxd1
7. Bxf7+, Ke7
8. Nd5#
Me - What if he attacks my bishop at d6 pawn.?
Levy - Then you have to handle it yourself...
Oh.. For those wondering why h3?
Its so the bishop gets out of the way IF their knight takes our knight
Nice alternative to the fried liver, when they push the pawn instead of getting out the knight. Will certainly try this
NOTE!
If instead they take back with the knight, and you take the bishop with your queen, they can take YOUR bishop.
You need Qb5+ which wins back the knight.
I just did this!!! I saw Magnus do it so been waiting for the right time!!!
“Dude you were suppose to go to G4, that wasn’t the script”
“Oh. My bad”
These traps are useful when opponent is noob but infront of a grand player they make a new stratagey to defend the trap
Problem is anyone after 1200 would play pawn d6
- You wanna play some chess?
- NOU BORING
I didn’t even know this was a trap. I had a variation with this happen while I was playing black. He greedily took my Knight with the bishop and I mated him with bishop and queen. 38 second game. Caught me completely by surprise
What if you opponent is not smart enough to defend pawns but still smart enough to not get traped
I didn't know this was a trap. I always just exchange the bishops. Instead of pinning the knight with the bishop I just bring It out to E6.
Botez Gambit, the version where you actually win
The légal trap is absolutely legal
Me when my opponent plays Queen E2 to defend the pawn instead of Knight C6:
Him "do you wanna play some chess"
me "yes it's very interesting
Also him "NO BORING"
Me "oh"
For beginner,they love the 4-step checkmate💀
Haven’t seen Levy without glasses in a while. Nice
I am dissapointed by him not saying, BY SACRIFICING THE QUEEEEENNNN
If black takes the knight and you take the bishop, their next move would be to take the white bishop hanging so you lose two pieces for one. It only works if your opponent has no clue of the trick but at what cost should you risk it
Then queen b5 check wins the knight.
Fun fact: 1.Nxe5 2. Qxh5 Nxc4
and then you realise that your trap didn't work and opponent gets +3
Nope queen check and fork,I was thinking Abt that
What if black knight takes white knight then after queen takes bishop black knight can win the white bishop
Chess players can use the queen in 2 different ways:
1- Haha 8 kill streak lmao
2-Human shield goes brrrr
Opponent : hmm I've got a good position he's not gonna beat me
Also opponent : plays that one pawn which started his doom!
It was played by Garry Kasparov i think..
Always use that style of trap against the Philidor and the Max Lange defense
Imagine You're Opponent Watches This Video Too
“Do you wanna play chess”
You: uh no.
Levi: well too bad here’s a 8 move trap to win
Right off the bat, your wanting your opponent to make a bad move😅
instead of black takes queen. Knight takes Knight and after queen takes Bishop. Knight takes Bishop. piece up black wins
then why you've wasted your one move to h3 attacking the bishop that's also a checkmate in less 1 than 8 moves
Any other beginners notice 400-600 elo chess is difficult online because it’s such a mixed bag of players. Can’t practice openings at all because players in my range don’t look to develop they just want to get straight into the action, I end up losing some games because I can’t predict how they will play even remotely
I feel like 99.9999 percent of the time people are gonna develop there other knight instead of the bishop especially after you just developed your knight most people copy
at e5 knight takes knight you take at h5 and black takes at c4
The real Legal trap is marriage
It’s not easy what you think, opponent know the best answer move, it works when playing with beginners
Levy Without Glasses: NO CHESS IS FOR LOSERS
Levy:Continues To Speak
also known as the MY FRICKIN QUEEN gambit
It's the legal trap. It's good to kick away the bishop by pushing the pawn on h3 but instead directly going with the Nxe5 would be better most of the time as the opponent will be 99% tempted to take the queen
I like the fact that he knows these traps will probably never happen but makes these videos anyway for beginners to get into chess more, purely in order to get more people to play the game he's passionate about. He's a true chess embassador!
ive gotten this trap multiple times; its uncommon and your opponent needs to play stupid in the opening but it does happen sometimes
It's all over.... was crazy
Opponent: *Plays a different move*
Me: Wait no that’s not part of the script
Waiting for the video that ends at "No, BORING!"
Next, the illegal trap. Point a gun at your opponent
it's not that chess is boring, it's that i'm so trash at it, i always blunder my queen/lose pieces because i forgot about a knight
This feels familiar this move is so familiar i remember watching a guy playing valorant while playing chess with these moves
