  • Live - Post Race Coverage of the Fur Rondy Day #1 on 4th Ave. Thirteen sprint mushers compete today, tomorrow and Sunday for the 2024 Fur Rondy Open World Championship Sled Dog Race. The purse for this historic race is $60,000. All are welcome to watch the mushers and their sled dogs each day on 4th Ave starting at noon. The sled dogs will run through and around Anchorage 25 miles per day starting each day at noon. The lowest combined time wins the coveted Open World Championship title.

    Since 1946, the Fur Rondy Open World Championships three day sled dog sprint race through and around Anchorage has brought Alaskans together. Fans come to Anchorage from all over to watch the sled dogs start and finish on 4th Avenue. Radio coverage is provided by CBS Sports Radio 590 AM (96.7 KHAR).
