Sean and Meghan really showed how absolutely, totally multi talented they are with the song they sang in their finally episode. Unforgettable, is NOT an easy song to sing, nor is an easy song to sing ANY PLAY, but these two pro did it MASTERFULLY. And I cried the first time they did it, and I found myself tearing up watching it again. This was truly one of the all time best casts TV has EVER seen. And I miss the fun and laughter each Thursday night!

He's actually an extraordinary pianist, so he probably was. The editing may have been cut to fit everything together, but I'd put good money on the fact that he actually played during that scene. Sean Hayes won a Tony this year for playing pianist and comedian Oscar Levant and I know he played the keys in the show. I wish I'd seen him in action there.
I believe I read once that Jack and Karen were being considered for their own spin off after W&G ended but when Friends did the same thing with Joey and it totally bombed NBC execs got scared and decided to not proceed.
I think that the characters of Jack and Karen would have needed the characters of Will and Grace as straight people to play off of--in the same way that the character of Ethel served as the straight person for the character of Lucy to play off of. For that reason, I don't think a spinoff would have worked--unless the spinoff's creators came up with new straight people.

Even though she claims," Karen evolved" she was on the mark from the very beginning, while the other cast members enhanced Karen Walkers character. The entire show is timeless.
I knew Sean was a broadway artist, but I was astonished to hear Megan M sing - that duet was perfection and I want more! They have effortless shiny talent, impeccable comic timing and fearlessness, which comedy craves. I never had a problem with Jack's stereotypical gay man, and I can't quite figure out why. Maybe it's because we had for the first time with this show a "yeah he's gay, so what?" type positive portrayal with Will's character. It was very empowering.
How do I put this?... It makes life worth it for us... -Observation and appreciation of some of the most brilliant and talented people on earth at that given point, comedic actors such as Sean Hayes, Megan Mullally et. al... The writers... The whole constellation of talent in this show... It will never happen again. Well maybe, maybe not, but...
