He had those boots in April! Much love. Great video. Your patience with Peter is special. I like it. You never raise your voice or anything. You just fill in where he left off. Amazing.
Hey Mikey Pipes I am new to your channel and I like your educational videos and I learned something every day my name is Tyler and I want to go into the HVAC plumbing trade. That is my interested in the most. Thank you for posting videos man I like them..Have a amazing great weekend thank you for the videos.
Haha, Peter is really coming out of his shell, isn't he? Maybe he'll be the next big star! Thanks for the support, we'll keep pushing him to be his best.
Great video. Refrigerant is Not Cheap so Why wouldn’t the Customer want to Fix it ? Several years ago they replaced my Coil with Stainless and Fixed the Issue. 👍🙏
Thank you for watching and for your comment! You're absolutely right, refrigerant can be quite expensive, which is why it's important for customers to consider fixing the issue instead of just adding more refrigerant. It's great to hear that they were able to fix the issue by replacing your coil with stainless steel!
Great Video! This was not Peter mistake! Manufacturers/Engineers should design systems/instructions, so Peter is not able to make the mistake (Poka-Yoke). If this happened to Peter, it will happen to another Peter around the world.
Haha, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! And you're right, it's definitely not Peter's fault. Maybe we should start a campaign for all the Peters out there, demanding better system designs to save them from making mistakes! #SaveThePeters
Definitely wouldn’t recommend sealer unless system is on its last life and all other options have been extinguished, from experience specially in a micro Channel coil. Just from experience 20yr tech in Jersey here. A lot of good content tho Mikey Stay testing so you’re not guessing
Good job Mike, I think Peter needs some help with a pair of boots for the winter, you can make it a Christmas bonus, I know you like the Jewish holiday better, but I think he gets more support from you than others.
Haha, you caught me! While I do love the Jewish holiday, I can't deny that Peter needs some support with those boots for the winter. I'll make sure he gets them, even if it means celebrating Christmas in style!
You guys would have looked perfect for Halloween with fluorescent dye all over yourselves. With the corrosion I saw on that condenser I was expecting you would find oil residue somewhere along the bottom rows.
HI Mike! I did not see the link for the PDF attached. Can you please add it to the comments. I've let clients know in person and in writing those exact points and have had a couple sour one call me back a few months later demanding a refund and that I return for free to add more refrigerant and I laugh but it looks like a really good practice as a deterrent those issues happening again. At what point in the service call do you make them sign that?

Dye affects refrigerant pressures and changes the temperature of when it changes state. I never use dye for this reason. Dye are for people who are to lazy to look for leaks. What you did was contaminated the poor guys refrigerant system and now that system will never run efficiently. Also charging a system by standing pressures is very suspect that isnt the correct way to charge a system. If this was the case then you can go to every refrigerant system and say its low on charge. In residential you should charge by subcool of the condenser data plate and superheat between 4-24 °f when checking outside. But not charging by superheat nor subcool means you over charged the unit and your covering up by not showing the superheat nor the subcool or you jist dont know what your doing.
That amount of dye won't affect the pressures enough to make a difference. If you didn't hear what he said is that he couldn't find the leak in the accessible places. Plus you have no idea what him and the homeowner discussed as far as what's entailed and how much it's going to cost. The company I worked for charges a lot for a leak search and adding dye is more economical than searching for a leak that may only be detectable under certain conditions. I'm not a big fan of Mikey pipes but I can say he's more ethical than many other companies out there. He's teaching a lot of younger people to get interested in the trade.
Thank you for sharing your perspective on dye and refrigerant systems. It's always interesting to hear different viewpoints and experiences in the HVAC industry.
Profanity can be like a spice in your videos - a little can add some flavor, but too much can ruin the whole dish. So, use it wisely and sparingly, my friend. Remember, it's all about finding the right balance and making sure your content still shines through without relying solely on profanity.
Same shit happened to me when I quit smoking Mikey, I’ve noticed people talking shit bout your weight, the first 8 month after i quit I gained 60LBS, and started drinking more and eating more, at the point noticed also my testosterone levels were FUCKN tanked im talking 120… 6months later I’m down 75LBS levels are at 600-900, the Schmechel is back to ruler size 🎉🎉, and feel better. Cut back on the drinking but still enjoy my bourbon and smoke good weed. Guaranteed gut will drop off
Quitting smoking can lead to some unexpected side effects, huh? But it sounds like you've turned things around and are feeling better now. Keep enjoying that bourbon and good weed, my friend!

Home owners tell the truth about 5% of the time. Always believe the other company was right until proven wrong.
It's always important to approach situations with an open mind and gather all the facts before making judgments.
That is ok, Peter. I blew dye all over the side of the house once.😅
