Kind of sums up the back end of the past season for most river anglers. Still .....roll on June 16th🙏🏼 Nice work Dean & Korum. Right up my street that film👍
Nice video Dean and the river has been even worse this yera the wettest winter I can remember in my 70 years,we have gone days when you couldnt get onto throop or the lower stour. But roll on the 16th and get back down there.
This brings back memories I lived in Ringwood its a fisherman’s paradise. I’ve been lucky enough to catch 3 chub for over 15lb on that stretch, on the maggot feeder
I'm local to Throop and its been a tough few months. The conditions have been very difficult. Think the Avon has been even worse. Any way i still somehow managed a few Stour Chub and Barbel. I feel very lucky.
As in typical British tradition as soon as the close season starts, the river levels have dropped. I've not even got anywhere near The Royalty this year for any piking , in fact not been on it since last year! It's just been one massive swollen "lake".
Maybe you could go try the conkers section of the river lea navigation in Hertfordshire and have a crack at the chub along there.... Some leviathan chub there ... Be a different sort of challenge too...Big carp etc ,Bream to 8 plus as well ..possible big perch and big roach....
Enjoyed listening to your thoughts, Dean, on tackling tough conditions. A good video hasn't got to be full of fish.

That's fishing. You still caught! I did 70 miles and a two drive drive for 3 minnows a few weeks back on the River Blackwater...
