Liquid Spring Suspension Review and the Best Installation Location

  • In this UA-cam Video, we review our Liquid Spring Suspension and Installation location.
We have driven thousands of miles with our new Liquid Spring Smart Suspension upgrade, and we are blown away by how smooth the ride is now in our Class A RV on a Ford F-53 chassis. The ride is smooth, and we don't crash and bang our way down the road anymore.
And best of all we didn't have to drive to Indiana to have it installed because Liquid Springs is training RV dealerships and garages all across the USA to install Liquid Springs. We had our Liquid Springs installed in Orlando Florida at Josam Truck Frame and Alignment where they install Liquid Springs every week on RVs.
In this video, we answer some of the most common questions people have when they are considering adding the Liquid Spring Suspension to their motorhome, such as:
    1. What is Liquid Spring?
    2. How does Liquid Spring suspension work?
    3. What's the difference between Liquid Spring and an Air Suspension?
    4. What are the benefits of Liquid Spring?
    5. How much weight does Liquid Springs add to my motorhome?
    6. How much does Liquid Spring cost?
    7. Where can I have Liquid Spring Installed and Serviced?
    8. Is Liquid Spring worth the money?
Liquid Springs can be installed on Class A and Class C motorhomes to provide a smooth and comfortable ride.

I plan to get Liquid Springs on my next gas RV (F53). However, there was an error in Mr. Wells pitch. Airbag suspension on DPs are not a single spring rate as he stated. That's the beauty of airbags, they have a very progressive spring rate, that's how they deliver such a plush ride.

My pleasure. It was a great review. Actually, I checked their site & it does show a class C option but it seems to be a particular model not just any class C. It seems like a great product but wow, it’s pricey. I assume it’ll be cheaper in a class C but if you travel a lot in any Coach, it seems worth it. Thanks again.

Thank you very much! The Class C models they mention on their website our models you can purchase new with LS already installed. I think you might have to contact a rep to see if your Class C can be upgraded. It can be a bit pricey depending on the size of your rig.

We have a diesel pusher with air bags, and this would be a very nice accessory. But way too expensive. If a bunch of money suddenly falls into my lap, this would be high on the list. Great video. One correction. *After Liquid Springs ARE installed* "

If you have a diesel pusher with air bags you don't need Liquid Springs. You already paid for a better suspension when you bought your diesel pusher. So if some money falls into your lap you can spend it on something else!

Question about the Thor Challenger. I have not heard anything good about the quality of the build for THOR in general and maybe even less about the Challenger. My wife and I really like the floor plan as you and your wife do, BUT, that said, I am leery of the reputation Thor has based on review and some RV experts that have offered their opinion of Thor. So what has your experience been since your purchase of the Challenger, after the sale support experience, etc. you comments and opinion are appreciated.

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  Рік тому +2

Thor is like every other manufacturer. There are few quality controls in place and they deliver inferior products. But this is true across the board unless you want to spend an ungodly amount of money.
We bought our rig knowing there would be plenty of repairs to be made but we felt this would be true for any rig we bought.
We love the floor plan and we have made some nice upgrades like Liquid Spring and our solar package. And I also went through and strengthened every drawer bottom in the RV.
They use schwintek slides which suck in my opinion so I have become better at fixing them.
I would recommend joining the Thor Challenger Facebook Group ( or the corresponding group for any RV you are considering) and asking these types of questions. The owners will give you great answers.
By the way Thor Makes like 40% of every RV on the market so its hard to generalize and just say don't buy a Thor. Forest River makes about 30% of every RV you see out there.
They all use the same parts, components, appliances and A/C units so really they all have different paint on the same underlying RV.
Thor's customer service is ok. We've had ours back to the manufacturer twice and it was a 6 month wait to get in. The service folks are mostly nice except for this one lady named Kirsten.
I recommend you have a serious RV inspection before buying any unit and that you try everything yourself too like the slides, plumbing system, electrical, electronics and so on. And drive it on the highway at 70 miles per hours. Do not take possession until the dealer fixes EVERYTHING on your rig.
In anticipation of having to make repairs one of the first things we did was buy an extended warranty (not from the dealer). You can buy Dealership warranties for 5 or 7 years but there is a mileage cap of 60,000 miles. That will not work for us because we travel too much. And I wanted a warranty where I could use mobile RV Techs rather than waiting to get into a dealership. (And good luck getting a dealership to work on your RV if you didn't buy it there) We went with Wholesale Warranties. Here's the link if you wanna check them out. goto.rvblogger.com/Wholesale-Warranties
Sure hope all of this helps you out.
      Mike

We decided to go with a diesel pusher rather than spend all of this money and the weight goes against your ccc which is not to good in gassers. Plus with the price of it a lot of people cannot afford the out of pocket cost and have money to travel. Well I have another take to what is being put out by the you tube group of individuals that well they are giving you information but not all the information, meaning. I am right now in San Diego having a suspension system put on my 2021 class C RV. The work being done is by weld tech design. The people at weld tech are awesome in every manner. And there system is awesome. Now I had quite a long chat with the owner about all the different systems on the market and I specifically brought up liquid spring and he said he wants to have some one contact him with a liquid spring system on a class A and go head to head against his system which is tried and true and blow away a system that costs mid 20’s to low 30’s and his system is more than half. So before any of you blow money on a system that just not better. Do your research call weld tech talk to Jeremy and get the real deal low down. I just gotta call it like it is don’t care if people think I am hating because if you saw my rig after the suspension job you all would be asking for your money back. I am always gonna call a spade a spade. Just keeping it honest.

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  Рік тому +2

Actually Underway - you are not calling a spade a spade. Just because we don't review the suspension you are having installed on your rig does not mean we aren't telling the whole story. It means we are sharing our experience - not yours. So come on down off your high horse and stop trying to justify your decision to go with Weld Tech. It sounds like you didn't even research Liquid Spring BEFORE you decided to go with Weld Tech.
Of course the owner of Weld Tech is going to tell you his product is better than Liquid Spring. But that doesn't mean it is. You haven't given one shred of empirical evidence that Weld Tech is better than Liquid Spring other than the owner saying so. And Weld Tech hasn't even finished installing their system on your rig so how do you know how good it really is?
And finally, Weld Tech doesn't even sell a suspension system for a Ford F-53 chassis which is what most Class A RVs (like ours) are built on. By the way - there is no way their bolt on suspension system is better than Liquid Spring. I should probably delete your comment it is so incorrect. Just calling a spade a spade my man.
I am more than happy to have you or any of our viewers share their experiences in the comments but don't couch it like we aren't telling the whole story. Honestly, I've never even heard of Weld Tech until now.
Once you have your system installed and you drive 2,000 miles or so on it please let me know how you like it. Right now your review is no better than an Amazon review that says -" I haven't received the product yet but i think its gonna be awesome!"
      Thanks for watching.

It’s a good product! I talked to them last year for my 2021 class C which is 34 foot. The quote from them in Indiana was $17,000. That’s for an e450 chassis. I was not exasperated over it but was trying to figure out if I sold the coach in the future whether it would be a selling point to an average buyer whom knows nothing. And trade in to a dealer would do nothing, I don’t think. But caveat to it is as long as I own it it’s all good. But I ended up putting the sumo’s and sway bars and steering stabilizer on it all the way around and we are happy as larks over the ride of this class C . But still would have got the liquid springs, such a sweat set up. For now I’ll take second fiddle.
