Great start. It looks like it could really just be a piece of square tube to fit into the receiver, with an upright welded on at about the same angle as your angled reinforcement. Add a couple of gussets and that would be more than strong enough imo. I suppose the upright could be made into sections for easier storage, and have a tarp extension for rain protection. Folks w/o a roll bar will need to get creative on the cab end. Maybe something mounted to the bed rail(s)?
