My name is Natalia, I am a former figure skater and dancer and now dance costume designer.
I have been dancing for more than half of my life, and as far as I can remember, I sewed all my costumes myself, well 😜 in the beginning my grandmother helped me. 😉
The dance world never let me go, for which I am actually glad and grateful, and for more than 10 years now, I have been making costumes professionally.
I will gladly share with you all my techniques, my secrets, best practices and life hacks in creating dresses for competitive ballroom and latin dancing.
The main thing is the desire, everyone can learn to sew, I hope my videos will be useful and helpfull to you.
I grew up ice skating. I have occasionally made dresses for myself and others. I have always used the hot fix stones, but it takes so long, and they don't always stick. Gluing looks so much faster, even with the video sped up! ❤ I will try this next time!

Поиносказательней спасибо ещё раз! 🙏 да это клей для ткани, одной питерской компании, он кстати водкой стирается, так что если где напортачила, то легко можно все исправить. И он тоже очень крепкий 👍

How do I apply shoulder feathers?
Feathers are on the ribbon. You pin the ribbon on the shoulder part while the unitard on the doll and then you sew it by hand. It is complicated to do it on the machine.
I'm very confused on the pattern and the sewing process of this. May you please explain a little more to me, or show more of the process? ❤

If i can ask something from you, could you make some time in the nearly future make a video about the patternmaking of a real fitted leotard? Because i dont know how to use the negative ease, the stretch factor. Where and how many cm have i subtract from the measurements vertically and horizontally. I would be very glad to you. Thank you. WHICH GLUE DO YOU USE ON THE SMALL STONES?

Hi Natalia, do you have a training programme or offer one to one training? I have recently started competing in ballroom/latin (im 40yrs younge 😂) I have been sewing since i was a child however making dresses for competitions with built in leotards is mind blowing..... i have looked and looked in the U.K for a course i could study to help me make the patterns and I cant find a single course to study aimed for dance wear. Any advice on courses to study or where to even look would be much appreciated. I love all of your beautiful creations. Would love more videos too ❤ ❤ ❤

PLEASE what glue besides the E6000 did you use to put the 20ss on with???
This glue is from Russian company Rest, they also have branch in Europe. Very good glue, in case of stains can be removed with pure alcohol or vodka.
Similar glue has Chrisanne clover from UK but it can’t be removed with alcohol.
What kind of glue are you using for the flat backs?
Glue from Russian company Rest. Same glue has an English company Ajour (dance atelier)

Thank you very much 🙏 I use many different brands. Swarovski, Preciosa, Stellux, some very good Chinese brands. It’s depends on the budget of the clients.

@@veronicacriscione87 Ah! that glue I got from one company called REST(russia), its their own production. That glue is magic! in case you made a mistake, you can remove the crystals and use pure alcohol or vodka to remove the glue stain :)
