What a great laid back camp, back in the 60s me and my mates used to do similar here in England , sadly a couple of my mates are no longer around , I am 76 yrs old i wish i could go back to days , thank you for posting,
Thanks for sharing, those memories will always be with you even if your mates no longer are. Thank you for your comment and thanks for watching. Take care my friend.
Thanks so much for this film, it was entertaining, educational and very relaxing to watch. I love your relaxed style and minimalist approach to things. Prepare well - but not too much.
Thanks I'm glad you liked it. The most important thing though is to just get out there no matter what you take. Thanks for watching my friend, take care.
Thanks , it's a custom job I had them do for me I'm really liking it. I like to do things the old school way more often than not. Thanks for watching my friend, take care.
That was a very enjoyable video, nice and relaxed. Kenneth Kramm does the old school bedroll, too. I have a 10X10 Aqua Quest Defender tarp that weighs 5 pounds plus and I thought it was heavy! Your oilskin tarp is incredible but I would have to wear a super duty jock strap to carry it! Also amazing was Steve brought a camp cot. I bring one car camping but the thought of carrying it for miles...damn! My 20 liter bushcraft pack with gear, food and water weighs 22.38 pounds and I'm out for two nights most adventures and hike normally 4 to 5 miles into an area where I stealth camp. Thanks for showing how to set up a bedroll.
Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it. Now I do have much lighter tarps, lol. I just got the oilskin for the old school feel when camping. And yeah Steve and his cot, lol. After that trip he swore he would never bring it again. And I can't say I'd blame him. Thanks for watching, take care my friend.
Very true, I am a big fan of wool. I have been wearing wool for a good number of years. I like how warm and rugged it is. Thanks for watching, take care my friend.
Thanks L/W that's a great way to pack all your gear up ... Awesome job on the video and i still love the spot your at ... Keep up the great work friend ....Mark ....
It is a nice way to go sometimes. I am looking forward to going back to that spot this winter for some camping. Thanks for watching Mark I really do appreciate it. Take care my friend.
Thanks, and don't sweat it. I haven't been very active as of late due to work. But winter is fast approaching and I will have more time for youtube. I hope you and Brenda (Thack) had an awesome time. Thanks for watching my friends, take care.
Very nice done on this video. I love it. Glad we found your channel Thanks again for sharing this with us. Have a blessed week. Looking forward to seeing more from your channel so we subbed you as well. Dale
Maybe keep the wool blanket out to cushion the ropes across the shoulders (ifit is not raining). Great video. Makes you want to go out and do this stuff.
Awesome man, thanks a lot I really appreciate it. I know I haven't posted anything in quite awhile. But rest assured I'm not done yet. I just have other things going on right now. Thanks for the support, take care my friend.
I really like the fabric of that shirt, it'll be real nice in the summer. I was gonna make a tumpline at one point, but never got around to it. You got one you wanna get rid of? Thanks for watching brother, take care.
Awesome vid man! One thing to add, I like to bring a microfiber towels and have used them doubled over and wrapped around non traditional straps so make a pad that also takes up some of the sweat (I’m a big dude lol)
Very entertaining video mister. That tarp looks like a great piece of gear. Like the dry humour between you and your friend too. I have the slight feeling that he knew the whole time you forgot something while wrapping up ;) . I subbed. ATB - Marc - Belgium.
Thank you. So far I couldn’t be happier with that tarp. My friend and I have been best friends since the 5th grade and I can bet you he did know the whole time. I’m just surprised he didn’t let me pack up the whole thing before he told me. Thanks for the sub my friend and thanks for watching. Take care.
Thank you very much. I plan on more videos in the future. If you have anything you would like to see just let me know, and I'll try to make a video on it. Thanks for watching, take care my friend.
I like the lavvu , I just don't have one. I would like to use one as a hot tent at some point. I'll check out the military store as well as the other youtube channel. Thanks for watching my friend, take care.
Thank you very much, Here is a link to the pullover lrbushcraft.com/lester-river-bushcraft-100-wool-boreal-shirt/. Thanks for watching, take care my friend.
Thank you, I got that haversack at the Uitwaaien Bushcraft Gathering last year. I bought it from Campcraft Outdoors it was the only one he had . I really like it, I carry it every time I go out. Thanks for watching my friend, take care.
Do like the bed roll best probably cause that was my first set up as a kid just figured I have to carry it anyways might as well put it in there ! Lol be good brothers
I took what I needed. Since I only needed water for drinking and not for any of my meals I did alright on water. That is the one thing I don't like about this camping area is that you need to carry all water in with you. And as you know , water is the heaviest thing you carry with you. Thanks for watching my friend, take care.
I appreciate that my friend. Yes I'm still alive haha I know I've been MIA for a while. Last winter my jeep broke down and I had no way to get to the woods. But I will be back at it this winter. Thanks for checking in bro, it's nice to know people care. Take care my friend.
I like your tarp a lot but carrying on the shoulder with that rope in steep hard country would be impossible. Your not going to carry that setup far. It would be far better to tie that load to something like a Bull Pac and make life better.
I only hiked in about 4 miles or so with this pack style. It wasn't to bad, but no I wouldn't want to go really far with it. The reason I did it like this was just for the fun of it. Thanks for watching, take care my friend.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow I learned so much! What a great video! Great way to do that bedroll!!! That was awesome. Thank you for taking the time to show this!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching, take care my friend.
Good basic stuff. It proves that you dont need all if the modern gear to camp. Great video guys.
Thanks I'm glad you liked it. The most important thing though is to just get out there no matter what you take. Thanks for watching my friend, take care.
First two videos from you that I have seen. Subscribing for sure. Found this looking up videos for my new 8x8 Tentsmiths tarp.
Well thank you very much. And thanks for watching, take care my friend.
Thank you for this video. Looks like you had a great time.
I had a great time on this trip. Thanks for watching, take care my friend.
Great Video, I feel I learned a lot from it. I enjoyed the relaxing pace.
I'm glad you enjoyed it Blake. Thanks for watching, take care my friend.
That Tentsmiths tarp is amazing. Many possibilities (including a hammock!) and I like this pack and carry method -- humping it old school.
Thanks , it's a custom job I had them do for me I'm really liking it. I like to do things the old school way more often than not. Thanks for watching my friend, take care.

That is one dang cool setup! Everything in one roll, now that is bushcarfting!
Thanks Lee, it's been awhile since I've done it like this. But it is fun to do for time to time. Thanks for watching my friend, take care.

Yeah man thats a badass t-shirt! Thanks for the props by wearing it, and you need to talk to me about a proper tumpline bro. Good stuff as always
I really like the fabric of that shirt, it'll be real nice in the summer. I was gonna make a tumpline at one point, but never got around to it. You got one you wanna get rid of? Thanks for watching brother, take care.

it doesn't seem like you took much water. most of my weight is water.
I took what I needed. Since I only needed water for drinking and not for any of my meals I did alright on water.
