@@sabahmed5301 Pep is a great coach and has left traces in different countries because of how he lets football be played, but Pep needs big money to be successful or he would not start the job.
Van Gaal developed absolute unknown players into world class payers. He won a title with tiny Alkmaar in the Dutch League. He won the Champions League with Ajax a team full of unknown youngsters that time. He discovered players by Bayern from the second team who never got a chance before him and turned them into world class players. Rangnick also discovered young unknown players and developed them into world class players. Rangnick build also clubs out of nothing or third division and got them to the to top of the league and into the Champions League. Wenger had also special philosophy and Bielsa keeps a team in the league which are very limited. Some great achievement can't be measured with titles.
What most of these coaches have in common is...they want power. The sole control. In certain clubs this is impossible.
Peps power cost the club huge money because he need already a certain quality or top quality to play his style of football.

Fact that the likes of Klopp Tuchel Nagalsmann have all spoke very positively about the impact Rangnick has had on them says it all

He needs TOTAL control in order to shape the club from the inside and out. Hoffenheim gave him that but it is something that the truly big clubs like Bayern and Liverpool or even Chelsea would not. The reason Man United hired him is because the team and the club is in a spot of bother. I would have been intrigued if he was in charge of Aston Villa or Newcastle but they seem to have opted for shrewd operators like Christian Purslow and Dan Ashworth (known for his work at St. Georges Park and more recently, Brighton and Hove Albion in Sussex).

People seriously don't understand his role at United. He's here to get us to the summer, create a team from what was a bunch of strangers at times and stabilise the club. He has one eye on the permanent role for sure but he's got so much German robotic efficiency in his veins that he's fulfilling the role of interim down to the letter. He's neither spectacular or terrible but a picture of stability. This is probably the reason he won't get it in the end as United's board want the Hollywood manager 99 times out of a 100. At the start he was talked about as implementing a structure and going behind the scenes later. This for me would be the perfect option. He should be the man pulling the football strings. When I see people saying he should be backed, or he's massively disrespected they just don't understand why he's here!

Why make someone manager for a few months then put him into a consultancy role at the end of the season? Why not choose a manager to take over and give him full backing and the rest of this season (and Jan transfer window) to mold the team into his vision. Now we're going to waste six months doing absolutely nothing for the future. Instead we have a guy who knows he won't be manager at the end of the season and is showing it. Absolutely no changes to the way the team plays at all since he's come here. Shows how United have a lack of planning and forward thinking. Absolutely shocking from the people above.
