This clan was a true nightmare. Unclean Ones would use Death Sentry dealing magical damage to all units and if they died close to our units they would chance their stance to passive. Deceased Ones left a pool of blood who damage our units nearby when they died. Infested Ones had a BG to revive themselves. Blade Acolytes and Staff Adepts were pests. Leaf Disciples could do a ridiculous amount of damage. Koril could teleport,Issyl who could accelerate their units,Zymeth could hit units with thunderbolts... Even with micromanage if i played campaign above easy difficulty with the Dragon or the Wolf i would never beat the game.

I played campaign many times and my idea was to stand ground,Arah with 12 archers,Dragon warriors and Kabuki (Chi Shield and Stardust),a few samurai with dragon skin. The end battle had 50 population so i also brought 4 powder keg with indirect fire,4 geisha to heal. I need to keep their ranged units close so Kenji can use critical strike,i hit stand ground because Unclean Ones can die there,their soldiers are mostly weak to pierce and blunt damage. Kazan would burn their buildings,Arah would hit outside their range. I loved this game since day one,at the time the graphics were superior to any game of this type and the combat is stylish,Kenji,Grayback and Necromancer are absolute beasts. It is the best game of this type ever made,beats AoE and Cossacks or everything else.
Excellent when I get the game going I'm going to set most of these wolf and lotus songs and dragon songs together. If I remember correctly there's a in game feature with Winter of the Wolf that allows for me or you to pick and choose our soundtracks in game.
I never actually understood Lotus desire for orb - to get rid of corruption, but yet corruption was all they did and they did benefit from it? Its so confusing... Btw we should get a 3d expansion with Lotus journey and featuring 2 new clans!
Corruption gave them powerful magic abilities but made their bodies literally degenerate. That was the curse of the Lotus Clan, they all started rotting alive basically. I guess by saying that he's "free of Corruption" Zymeth means he's free of that curse but somehow regains his magic abilities. That'd be my understanding of it. 3rd expansion is going to happen if the game generates enough interest/funds. Otherwise- nope. :l

Welcome back! Lotus is indeed an overpowered clan and warlocks have abnormal HP or resistances for a third tier unit with such power. However, an army of warlocks can be beaten, for example by an army of shaled berserkers.
According to Wiki, all 4 Clans were in Harmony (Yang). But the Lotus delved too deeply into certain dark magics of rot and corruption, and became the First Clan, who seperate themselves. The Serpent Clan probably saw Profit in that, so they sold the Wolf Clan to the Lotus, to be an Ally to them. And yeah, thats how the Circle broke.
Correction, The Serpent Clan is more like Nod with all the back-stabbing shenanigans, faction color, use of unorthodox tactics and use of cunning hit-and-run strikes. The Lotus on the other hand have more similarity with the Scrin, same faction color, use of bizarre and "alien" technology and powers, complete disregard for mercy and compassion to their enemies, and relatively more advance than the other factions.
Me too long time ago,.but the lotus will be defeated if you upgraded your musketeers with enough yin, and it helps to use a necromancer for extra zombie
