    Any recommendations for a schedule to follow to try to wipe them out permanently? I buy berghia probably every year. They do an amazing job and wipe out all traces of aiptasia within weeks. Is there a good time to consider getting an egg spiral or more berghia or soemthing? I never have enough for the berghia to breed in my tank but enough that they can't seem to wipe them out. I know it's a hard battle but I am wondering if you have heard stories of how to totally wipe out the aiptasia

    Will larger aptasia eat the berghia? I just got my shipment last week and this is the second Time of ordered them. They just seem to vanish.

    Super confusing at one point you say attach to rock near a small aptasia then you go on to say guard them until they move into a hole in rockwork. Last time I placed in a hole in rockwork near the aptasia and that seemed to work. What are the chances of only adding 2 nudis breeding? Do you have to have males and females. How do you know when you ship them what sex they are and suppose you get 3 for a small tank and all are one sex?

      The berghia have both sexes and you only need 2. As long as they find each other they will breed.

    I have a bunch of aiptasia in the internal overflow box of my tank and rarely see one in my DT. Should I try to place them in the overflow or should I place them in the rocks and hope they migrate there?

      We are glad that it helps! It can be a bit tricky if you have never done it before, so we thought it would be a good idea to make a video that shows step by step how to do it. Thanks for watching!

    Question, I put some of these in my aquarium a few days ago, made sure they were attached to the rock and moving on their own, but I haven’t seen them again? Do you usually see them or so they do their work at night when the lights are off?

    • @SaltyUndergroundSTL
      @SaltyUndergroundSTL  Рік тому +2

      Many people won't see the Berghia after they are placed. You are correct that they are nocturnal, so it is very rare that you would see them with the lights on. You will likely only see them when the lights are on if they are at the point where they cannot find any more Aiptasia in the tank. If this happens and you still have Aiptasia, you can collect them with the pipette or something like a turkey baster and move them close to where the Aiptasia is.

      They are nocturnal and also very small/will be within the rockwork. Keep waiting...aiptasia will start dropping like flies within a week. These guys are insane hunters
