The thing that most traumatized is that all of her efforts to reach Echi kun weren’t worth it cause he passed away, all that time she imagined how magnificent it would be to be with Eichi kun again, just to find out that he was dead all along. But at the same time her effort to reach Eichi kun no matter what it takes did inspired Takuto to find out who he really was and the thing he loved the most, music. After that Mitsuki and Takuto understood their real purpose, which is to stand tall together even if that means risking their own lives, if that’s what it takes to achieve happiness.
The story in the manga is quite different, and I frankly find the anime story much more lighthearted. The manga version is much, much darker ! In the end, I really prefer the manga version.
The manga is always better, definately, yer they explain more about each other and how they kind of grew up adopting each other and Eichi was a few years older and why he parted from her. But it all makes sense as to why she had to find him, she new nothing about why he never went back for her, (MASSIVE SPOILER AHEAD) she kind of did know, in the manga she knew he had died half way though her search, the anime doesnt really explain this from what i remember, the reasons she went on the journey was to find herself, what it meant to live and to find out more about why she loved him. She wasnt a quiter so she didnt want to finish what she had started, I would say the journey was very important. And she fell in love with Takuto cause he wasnt a quiter and he had connections to her.

This was mine and my best friend's favorite show in the 6th grade. We would binge Full Moon every time we hung out, watching the series probably a total of ten times over. We both knew all the words to this song, and would blast it during every sleepover. This and "Smile". The little outcast nerds we were, we even took to calling each other Mitsuki and Meroko. My friend was Meroko because she was a ginger.
I'm 22 now. She passed away last year, and I can count on one hand how many times I've heard this song since.
Damn, it's hard. It hurts.
But this sure brings back those childhood memories in striking clarity. I can still hear her singing it.
I keep saying that I'm gonna go back and watch the show again, but I couldn't make it through the first episode. Maybe one day I'll watch it with my own daughter and I can create new memories.

Omg I remember watching Full Moon about 4 years ago, and I just finished watching it again. I needed the nostalgia feel and I'm glad I searched for this song first. I miss it so bad.
I'm gonna be blunt, when I first checked out Full Moon a while back I wasn't really all that impressed, but as I got further and further in I started to love it, and when this song started playing at the end I genuinely started to cry.
Because of quarantine I got to read the manga and I played this in sync with the final chapter and it matched almost perfectly, it made me cry...
I just finished reading the manga and I need this right now😭😭🤧, this was the last song they both sang together. After so many happenings. After years I finally say my journey with them is finished. I finally complete the story and the details I need to know. My Childhood is complete.
I was around 12 when I first watched the anime series and now I'm 19years old and finished reading the manga. It took me years to find the manga version 😭.
It was good, my heart is happy and I'm a bit emotional right now. But Happy. I will miss them.
Spoiler alert!
The manga and Anime version has so many differences. There's a part where the anime has more details but in the manga there's more more details than we needed. But there are also differences especially about Eichi-kun death. In the manga, Eichi died at age 14 when his flight to America crashed, and Mitsuki knew about it all along; in the anime, he died at age 16 from a car accident which occurred about two months after moving, and Mitsuki didn't discover this until two years later during a trip to America. There are so many scenes not included in the anime some go to the manga.
@@gervilinerio1927 Yeah, the fact Mitsuki knew from the start that Eichii was dead, and that she was therefore completely fine with dying as soon as she completed her dream of singing, really puts a different vibe to the story. All those times she was talking about reuniting with Eichii really hit differently once you discover she knew he was dead...
Personally, I much prefer the manga version.
