Why didn't Newtjust Petrificus Totalus the beasts and get them in?
Lol I kept wondering why he didn't just "Accio" the niffler. It just wouldn't be as fun lol :) And Newt probably cares too much about the creatures to use spells against them. It actually might make them afraid of him.
He did Accio the niffler after it stole from the jewelry store, but it tried to get into another display and got stuck on/in the glass.
I actually just found out that, according to the Book of Spells, you can't Summon living things. Maybe he summoned a necklace or something the niffler had in his pouch?
Harry uses Accio on a Bullfrog in OotP (book) so it is possible to use it on some living things.
Molly Schaffer It must get harder the larger or more magical the beast. In GoF they say you can't do spells like transfiguration on a dragon.

SpiderIsAnArtist He wasn't talking about being in War Horse, but some of the same crew worked on both films. Imagine a film that starred Eddie, Benedict & Tom. We've had movies with two of them (War Horse, Infinity War, The Other Boleyn Girl, Early Man), but never one with all three. Someone absolutely needs to write that film immediately. Not to mention that I'd literally kill to see Tom playing the leg of the elephant carrying Eddie in A Passage to India.
