Almost literally right in the middle (E-W anyhow, lol). Hello there! I just had to develop an obsession with plate tectonics and volcanoes when I live in one of the most geologically stable places on the entire planet...
I live in Ottawa and felt nothing at all. However, the 5.2 earthquake in 2013 left items stored on shelves in my basement scattered in heaps on the floor. The Ottawa valley is riddled with faults so a few quakes are to be expected.
Yeah, I live about two hours outside of Ottawa and I wouldn't have even known there was an earthquake if it wasn't for this video showing up in my reccomends.
I live 30 kilometres west of Kingston, ON. I felt the 2013 one. In fact my house shook and the dishes rattled. Felt one in Toronto when I lived there. Nearly fell in the shower. When I went into the kitchen the cupboards had pulled away from the wall. Apparently there’s a fault line under Lake Ontario too. 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦
Lived in Ottawa for 25 years (1960 to 1985) . Not un common at all to experience minor earthquakes such as these …. Not many people realize that this is an earthquake zone.

Dude it's 4.1 you can barely even feel it. Nothing will happen even with a 7. No need to report little earth farts, spread panic if it's 7.5 or higher.
Don't worry, the epicentre would have to occur within a few km's of a reactor and be a much higher magnitude. It took a magnitude 6.6 to crack the Fukushima, Japan reactor on April 11, 2011. Also Godzilla attacking the reactor afterwards to eat the radioactive waste didn't help matters either.☢️ 🦖😁

Oh. No! A 4.2? A 5?? Dude earthquakes don't start causing damage in third world countries until 7, with modern building regulations noticeable damage requires 8 and higher. This is nothing, it's like reporting a light breeze and calling it a teeny tiny baby tornado.
That's not an earthquake. It's Quebec trying to separate again.
Hahahahahaha😂😂
😂
LMAO!!
lmao!
LMHO
Central Canada would be Winnipeg Manitoba…
They don’t think the rest of us exist

@@kelvink3759 the people in Ontario and Quebec think they are the centre of Canada and the universe!
I'm in Ontario and I'm sorry for the rest of this province.
Huh ?
I can't believe you consider this to be central Canada !!
I think she meant ..... the center of their little world.
I live in Ottawa and felt nothing at all. However, the 5.2 earthquake in 2013 left items stored on shelves in my basement scattered in heaps on the floor. The Ottawa valley is riddled with faults so a few quakes are to be expected.
I live in Ottawa as well. Definitely felt it. Checked on reddit and a lot of others in Ottawa did as well.
Yeah, I live about two hours outside of Ottawa and I wouldn't have even known there was an earthquake if it wasn't for this video showing up in my reccomends.
Same here.
Let's face it, the biggest faults in the country are in Parliament.
Earthquake Tax coming soon!😂
Careful the government might be reading the comment section.
Never happening
This weather report moved me.

yeah there is a fault line 1km from the Darlington nuke plant. the nuclear guidelines say 10km is the min allowed, but Our govt knows better right.
@ Thanks for the info. Wasn’t sure exactly where that fault line was.🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦
Wait till it rocks Toronto. The fault line runs right threw it😮
That was no earthquake, it was Justin’s uncontrollable sobbing contemplating his inevitable downfall.
😂😂😂😂😂
More like he's having another private temper tantrum.
My knick knacks moved this am. I thought I was going crazy until I watched the news.
That’s just Quebec whining.
We felt it here in Beaverton ont.
🤔 The same Beaverton where the government is doing time travel experiments powered by a nuclear reactor!!? 😱😱😱😊
Right along the Grenville fault line. We've had solar events recently....
I am in Cobourg and did not feel a thing.
Quebec and Ontario are eastern Canada, not "central".
who says?
@@BigWesLawns Maps and logic.
Way too off north to feel that plus since we're on rocks we need a 7+ to actually feel it.
I guess I slept through it...

Come on a 4.2 Mother Nature giving a brush of a feather kiss on a baby’s cheek. It’s our West-coast that gets the kick in the ass.
4.2. That tickles!
The Cascadia earthquake is going to be horrendous.
Isn't Cascadia the west coast?
@ yes. Subduction zone nightmare.

I leave close to Montreal & i felt & heard nothing, this is the first i hear of it. I guess the bedrock stopped the waves from reaching us .
It was felt in Ottawa and west of Ottawa, so you guys missed it. I felt it. My china cabinet was shaking but it only lasted a few seconds.
@plantbasedsenior4240 , where i am there is alot of bedrock, we hardly feel anything unless it's major

I believe that there is mining in this area, where there is mining you are going to have earthquakes!
That has to be one of the most annoying accents I have ever heard. Bloody irritating!
Check the depth of the “earthquake” if it’s 10km deep or less it’s no earthquake. Earthquakes are typically 100km deep or more.
