I feel you. I sometimes feel like the score was actually deeply cared for as it has a melancholy to it. Makes you feel like Akira himself. Duality of good and bad. Music is sweet and sad.
"At least she died believing she had won." The OVA made this part of the manga so sad. Seline was a total monster, but seeing her like that almost made me feel sorry for her. I'm reading a retelling of the Devilman story where Miki is the main character, and Seline is portrayed more like an anti-hero then an outright villain once she regains her true form. I haven't finished the story, but I hope Seline gets a happier ending in this new manga.
Dude, you are fucking daddy. I've been looking for this piece of music for, I don't know, about 10 years, ever since I saw Devilman on C4 late night when I was a kid. Eternal gratitude.
Ryo: Ahh, so you’ve woken up Akira: ...Am I even alive? Ryo! What on earth r u doing here? Ryo: While I was asleep in the hospital, I felt something. I could sense u were in some kind of terrible trouble. Ha ha! It’s as if u were communicating with me by telepathy Akira: Telepathic communication? Oh my god! It’s not over! We’re in terrible danger here! The demon, Sirene, she’s still alive! Ryo: Oh, I wouldn’t worry too much about her if I was u... Akira: What?! Ryo: Look, she’s over there Akira: Because Sirene’s consciousness had been the dominant one when she melded with Kaim, her terrible injuries carried them both to the grave. At least she died believing she won...
Also my favourite. You are the fookin' man! I have been after this since this first was released by Manga back in the mid 90's over here in the UK. Many many thanks to you!
Same here, only it´s fifteen years for me. I think this one is even better and more beautiful and intense than the first version ( track 6, /watch?v=TJ_6sb5kviA ). :-)
What a crying shame this masterpiece of an anime was never continued, and we'll be forever left hanging after Siren's death.
yeah
I cry every time I listen to this album.
ikr

この2作を実写で本気で作ったら、デビルマンを知らない人達にも衝撃を与えると思う。

I remeber this. I saw the OVA in the 90's. Still quality.
crazy1985 Can't say the same for the English dubbing though.
There have been many great Manga films over the years all which have awesome music just like this Devilman series
All time favorite track from this movie
Obvio que es la misma canción del ending de la primera OVA de Devilman pero muy diferente.
Aquí suena más triste y emocional
