Damn, the triangle player from Dragonforce can shred!
Lol its so funny like every one kind a see him as the triangle player
@@davidvashum3572 what are you talking about? He is the triangle player for dragonforce
He also did a online jam with dragonforce on Twitch, if you don't know. You can see it on the dragonforce UA-cam channel.
1:01
Sarah *plays clean, beautiful part*
StevieT: *KALALALALALALALA*
I thought you were making fun of him for a second then realized that it’s one of the many noises he makes with his mouth
Stevie is really underappreciated in the comments section. The solo was mind blowing
I think it's maybe just so expected and obvious these days. He is ridiculously smooth.
well there is a reason why dragonforce wanted him to come on tour with them
I feel he got more camera time than Sarah and Tyler. The opening riff kinda screams Stevie T
No wonder I got kicked out of the band, lead guitarist is a demi-god, 8-stringer is a sorceress, bass dude is a prodigy, producer's a necromancer, singer's a death lord, and the drummer is better than me at guitar. Oh well, fun while it lasted. Still waiting to hear about that Metallica gig, will keep y'all posted
This needs to happen more often.
patrick flynn indeed, but probably not because logistics.... But that what makes this colabs special even more...
patrick flynn no it does not. Cant believe a song w jared n steve sux so bad. Leave the justin bieber shit outta metal.
It takes a while to make stuff like this. They actually started Recording Months ago. If they did this more often they wouldn't have time for there own stuff.
My favorite thing about this project is Stevie T. As a person who has admitted to crippling social anxiety. He pulled through and wrote a badass solo and was a great team member for this project. Absolute legend.
Love Stevie T. He said it himself he’s fine in front of a camera but in front of thousands he would be done. You can see at first he’s a little quiet but he got comfortable. I would love to see all these guys again because they have built a great friendship since then
"Avengers infinity war is the most ambitious cross-over"
Me, an intellectual:
Adam Neely's bass + Sarah Longfield's 8 string sounds incredible
You should check out Beyond Creation. They have an style similar to that part.
I love how different everyone's solos were.
Steve: fleet fingered shredding masterpiece. And somehow he keeps it melodic and tasteful. He's so good, we expect nothing less anymore.
Tyler: fun, raunchy, rockin string bend fest. Looked like he was having more fun than anyone ever thought possible.
DJared: pure wankery at its finest. He plays super fast and throws in so many tricks so fast, you might not be able to absorb them all in one listen.
Sarah: Understated Virtuosity. Decides to solo during the clean sections and shows her unique style of 8 string goodness. I personally would've loved to see her throw down on the heavy sections as well but I appreciate her willingness to serve the song.
All phenomenal players. And Adam I was hearing that bass holding down the groove. Truthfully this song was kind of a Kindergarten level jaunt for a Bassist with Doctorate level musical knowledge.
Adam probably had a big part in writing with Sarah for her parts. Her bit is a little different than what I normally hear from her (or maybe not, I don’t listen to her all the time) and probably helped a lot in the production process.
honestly i didnt like jared's solo. even the slower melodic parts he added in between the dumb wankery wasnt thought out and didnt even fit the song harmonically. and the solo was more parts and material than an actual connected solo
When stevie T started his solo I jumped up, kicked the shit out of my water bottle and prepared for madness!!!!!! i was not disappointed!!
I’m really not a fan of Stevie as a guitar player. He has insane skills that’s for sure but I just find his playing kind of boring. I love a good shredder but his solo here just doesn’t sound great in my opinion. It was my least favorite solo of the song.
When you're so metal, even the drummer gets a guitar solo lol.
C A M everyone would just start talking during the bass solo so it’s probably for the better
Glenn did the production. It's probably the only reason why the bassist didn't get a solo.
Oh, oh, oh, how about Becoming the Dragon? That one's got a good bass solo by Paolo right at the end. You can hear the full version of that solo when Trivium plays live, where there's no fade out bullshit in the way of an otherwise great solo.
@@bxbbybrxh you've never heard of youtube phenomenon Adam Neely and you should check him out
this is the first time i've seen a "real" steve-t guitar face.
Granted the camera guy/editing cut ALOT of the musicians "music faces" out...C'mon thats half the fun of watching muisc.
Stevie T as usual is just a God, he shreds with ease it's like he doesn't even have to try, and Sarah's parts where freaking amazing, such great harmony and melody
jared is such a good drummer he kept playing the drums by using the force when his solo came.
Jared Dines: “We should do a song where we all have a minute long solo
“People don’t really do that anymore”
This video:
@@Da_Swifta Yeah...i was expecting some sort of drop with Adam going at it...he did great on the calmer section together with Sarah, though. Smooth as hell!
@@Da_Swifta I was hoping to hear the lick in his solo... and then it didn't exist.
Stevie for someone who is nervous about playing in a band you need to be in one you absolutely nailed this dude keep rocking
Haha he's ok with playing in a band, he's just unable to play in front of 10 people...
Coming back to this now almost 2 years later to give a big thanks to everyone involved in this project. I just got my letter of acceptance today and have an opportunity to make a career out of sound engineering. Thank you so much to Jared and everyone involved for introducing me to this school.
This is the definition of 'beauty'... Wow!
Stevie: astonishing shred and a little bit o' bend
Tyler: it's shreddy and it's bendy
Sarah: beautiful clean and flowing
Jared: *An divebomb into absolute madness with some tapping on top*
Then Rob Scallon jumps in out nowhere with his $1 thereminshovelbanjo
I love how much Steve’s voice sticks out in the backing vocals
didn’t notice it untill I saw your comment
but you’re right
his high piched vocals fit perfectly
Love how the bass player has to wear a tshirt just to remind him what instrument he plays
I wanna see more Adam and Sarah jamming together, their parts are amazing.
It's not often you see the drummer get a guitar solo!
Jimb0tr0n - yeah, that fucker can't leave any talent for the rest of us, ha ha.
Neat trick at a gig... could you imagine how nuts people would go!
Damn i forget Steve can actually play guitar sometimes
Stevie T is the Party Cannon of this band
Yeah I could go for an album of just Adam on bass and Sarah on guitar. Would be a cool ambient project.
Great job everyone!
Dr. Rockyowitz It would be be much more tasteful without the Terreberry signature "DRRRT-TT-TT-DRAA-TT" and the generic vocals
I found myself wishing the entire song was based off that awesome intro!
The intro to Steve's solo gets me every time. Man that is cool
This project still kicks half of metal scene right in the ass, sick 🤘
Well considering half of the metal scene is a swamp of unoriginal bullshit, I don't blame him
Adam in a metal band. My dreams have finally been realized. I can die in peace now. Thank you.
He seemed a bit off as to the style of the song to play, but I'm sure he enjoyed the collab a lot :)
ApiolJoe I am thoroughly disappoonted he didn’t try to include the lick in there
He served the music, his purpose was cosmically more important than the almighty lick :p
Sarah and Adam need to start a project, just sounds beautiful
Everybody raise your hand who wants a full album of this!
Who else came here to see Stevie T?
Jared and Stevie were the ones who inspired me to learn guitar at the age of 33 🤣 I have a long way to go but with practice I can do it
About those solos:
StevieT-Yngwie malmsteen vibe
Tyler-Marty friedman vibe
Sarah-Tosin Abasi vibe
Jared-Searches on youtube "best scales for metal soloing" vibe
P.S jk,loved it
kebaba su astriu yeah Sarah’s clean parts immediately made me think of Tosin, specifically the intro to On Impulse
J D that’s exactly what pushes me away from Sarah. I wish she had found her own sound, but it’s identical to Tosin generally.
This djenty proggy clique is so self-feeding.
I know my comment is super critical, but I just wish people would try harder to be unique rather than just glomming on to a sound.
Zeta9966 I like the proggy stuff tosin does, but yeah, I understand what you’re getting at
Loose Cannon! Honestly, an endless stream of notes is an endless stream of notes. Same same
Loose Cannon! Exactly, because every guitarist you mentioned has unique character in their playing and space between their notes. They utilize blinding speed in tasteful moments.
In my opinion, Tosin and Sarah are both just two hand tapping into oblivion. Just nonstop. If they aren’t, then the other guitarist is picking up. There’s no dynamic. Clean and distortion and back isn’t dynamic.
The Big 4 of Guitar UA-cam:
Stevie T
Jared Dines
Sarah Longfield
Music is Win
Don't you know to Charlie Parra del Riego? He is the future guitar hero.
@@felixsilva9177 Charlie is an absolute beast but he is now a touring artist with his band, the musicians in this video work pretty much only with UA-cam
I know that Jared and the other guys may won´t see this since I´m writting this a long time after the video was released, but I just want to say, thank you. I feel very related to this song and its meaning, and it´s helping me to go through hard moments in my life right now. I feel very good knowing that I´m not alone, and even though this guys don´t know me at all and may never will, its like they´re saying "hey, everything will be fine"... idk, stupid interpretation maybe, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you very much
Well said bro. You will never be alone with metal. Hope they see your comment and give a heart🤘
Fun fact: from 4:02 onwards, Jared is still drumming by holding the sticks between his toes. Strange that they cropped it out of the shot.
That blew me away. It was an eclectic mix of everyone's style and I felt it was a bit mismatched but it worked out great though. I didn't expect Adam to rock out since most of his content focuses more on jazz.
Adam's favorite record is the Rage Against the machine self-titled , I was a bit surprised too
I never commented this to you guys, but my best friend sent me this link shortly after my wife and I lost a child, and I was in an extremely dark place in my life. I listened to this song every day, multiple times a day, for a month. I credit this song for helping me get through that time, and I still come back to it when I'm feeling and thinking those things, again.
Thank y'all for this.
Genre bending mash of contemporary rock / metal styles. Adam tried to sneak a couple of 'jazz notes' in there during Sarah's tapping solo. But I caught him. I caught him.
Gotta be careful not to feed the irrational insatiable bread machine.
4:28 “ finally Sarah is gonna play more chords instead of tapping ! “ I was wrong .
Dude, the other day this appeared on my spotify when I was playing Gran Turismo. I had no idea it was you guys but I can tell you this
It passed the car test.
I know I'm late to the party, but kudos, awesome.
Possible subjects of this song:
- Depression
- Gremlins
Sounds more like general existential dread to me. Finding the purpose of your life. Why we are here. The weight of just living weighing down on your psyche.
You folks really got something unique going here. I mean, that song is all over the place in terms of dynamics, genres and moods, yet it all locks in and becomes a coherent and beautiful piece of music. Well done, and greetings from Denmark :)
Jaydin Hill Speaking of Dream Theater, this ought to be a band, and Fricker should produce their album. I'd love to see that!
It really isn't. It sounds pretty generic, it's not bad but it's just a metal song. I mean, yeah they play amazing, technichally speaking, but the only original part for me is sarah's.
The whole thing was great! Jared is so talented with drums and guitar. The solos were great. And the Sarah's bit diverged from the others and was a great touch! What can I say? You guys/gals did AWESOME!!
3:55 is the funnies move tyler has pulled off
4:00 let my dude jam man!!!
You know what guys this is so inspiring!! Exciting times for UA-camrs who are becoming well respected in the music industry. Makes me so excited to see this kind of thing happening! Hats off to you 🤘🤘
Karl Golden wow wasnt expecting to see you here i love your vids how you been
UA-camrs respected in music? Luke holland accomplished that years ago making the jump from a cover video artist to the word alive.
Watched this over and over again. This needs to be a yearly must. Just like the shred collab
Honestly I love this song and it’s not even because I watch all of you it’s just a really good song!
Mother of God, Stevie's solo though.
I'm still coming back 2 years after to listen to this fantastic music! GJ guys!
I had this on my Spotify for months only to find out it was a bunch of UA-camrs I already followed xD love it love it love it
I don't know if it was just cold in my room or what, but I got the goosebumps that I rarely get when listening to new music.
Love the song !!!
Adam , wheres the jazz reharmonization
Ishaan Parikh I NEED SOME *MOAN* jaaAAZZZZZZZZZ ADAMMMMM *moans again at the thought of JaZzz*
I bet if you look deep into Adam's bassline you will find the Lick somewhere.
This was amazing. The verses have this awesome Shinedown-ish groove to it. Then came the lightning fingers you expect from bands like All that Remains or Killswitch Engage. Followed by the beautiful Plini-esk tapping. I'm gobsmacked. Now all we have to do is wait for Rob Scallon to answer back with the same thing where he plays all parts
I love Jared's guitar solo combined with the drums. Amazing
Finally someone understood how good advertising (apropriately) with youtubers can be.
I love the balance of the group, 4 guitarists and only 1 bassist
the problem is.... Davie504 owns ALL bass on UA-cam. He says so right in his videos.
There is only a need for 1 bass... guitars need 2 or more... CHECKMATE GUITARISTS
You don't need fucking 14 bassist! I love bass (even tho yes I'm a guitarist, fear me) and I love Davie but men... In a group there is mainly : a rythm guitarist, a lead guitarist and just for that group they aded a 8 string guitar for the rythm also (and each guitaist had their solo)
WOW! I always had a feeling something this should happen... it did not disappoint. Everything was mixed so well. Cool for everyone.
The chorus stuck in my head for 5 days now. I need to listen to this song 5-10 times a day. Thanks...
I love everyone but Stevie T is simply my favorite! Never fails to spread laughter, that guy! Thanks everyone! Love from India.
I love how everybody has a serious metal face and stevie is there like I AM THE MOST FABULOUS METALHEAD OF THEM ALL!
I just wanna hear more Adam and Sarah honestly. Their parts were the highlights for sure.
I wouldn’t even want a bass solo necessarily, I just thing Adam and Sarah had the only interesting parts of the song.
Freaking tremendously done. The gifts and talents you all possess and it seems ego was not in the way. Just awesome....
what a great amount of good musicians!! love you guys!
Now Stevie T needs to put this through a bad translation :)
Stevie T’s Solo was sooooo dope
Excellent composition. I watched the making of as well because I like you all so much, and honestly I was probably most impressed at how well the composition turned out with so many different people involved. Everyone is terrifically talented, and it’s so easy for egos to get involved when that’s the case, but I didn’t see it at all here in the product. Everyone knows what they can bring, and it was all apparent. Even the mega jams that various people put out each year are impressive for the same reason. It makes me hopeful to see that rock / metal is alive and well in the next generation. And also that I’m too old for anyone to want to play with anymore. I played in several bands in the 80’s, a couple of which were very good, but no way could anyone pull off stuff like this back then. The egos were way huge, and it was a feat to pull off keeping a four piece together with set material, forget doing an awesome collab. Well done guys, truly excellent!
Very cool. Following most of you guys for a long time. Have to give props to Stevie T. He killed it!
I fully loved Adam’s performance. He’s not usually a metal guy, but I love him as a bass player! You guys rock. 🤘🤘
Adam crushed the performance on this! was great to work with him on this project!
So the drummer gets a guitar solo, but ADAM NEELY doesn't get a BASS solo?
Ðani Lightbourne he made a video on how bass solos suck go watch it man
We should've had two bassists each with their own solo. Davie504 should be their with Adam and they should have crazy solos and then one together.
Xirnscoder Vargormaks let's not get crazy, man, we alll want our sempais to meet, but that is very unlikely
Flic Cilf I'm full of crazy ideas. Like what if Adam and Davie played on the 24 string at the same time
Jared "never plays a solo on the right key" Dines, everybody
John Daryl Bernido judging from his videos he’s a guitar player pretending to be a bass player. He has about 1 bass video
@@user-xw6uh3yp7g Yeah I've had the username for ages. All of my videos are extremely old so I've improved over time. You can check out my SoundCloud, same username, it has a little more current stuff.
m.soundcloud.com/bassoutcast/metallica-that-was-just-your
I come back and watch this and the making video at least once a year. Still love it.
Tyler's solo sounds like something straight from Megadeth. Fuckin love it.
now we need something with Rob Scallon, Davie504, 331ERock, 66Samus, Lilith Ghost, and Leo Moracchioli.
Well, I can't believe I'm just now seeing this video, 2 years later lmao. Been subscribed to his channel for a while and this is the first time hearing this nice collaboration.
That song is insane........ Hits me right in the feels!!
All of y'all are amazing. please don't change..
I know know the dread machine can be ruthless...
But this video showed exactly what you should do to it!!
Sarah and Adam's solo at the bridge really gets to me. Definitely my favourite part of the entire song.
That was absolutely amazing. I watched the behind the scenes first and the build up was intense. Payoff is HUGE. Hell yeah
One of the absolute best metal songs I've heard in a long time. Great work!
Am I the only one who thinks bass‘ volume should have been louder?
I've got the same feel so I've fixed that ^^ If you go to my channel there's and alternative mix of this track made by me for OIART Mix Contest of that song.
Hey I like it, I just think in 3:41 (on your video) it needs more volume but excepting that it’s great :)
SeBass_Covers That's really nice to hear! I'm glad that you enjoyed listening to my mix and I gonna keep in my mind your advice for future projects (when I'll have simillar situation I'm gonna focus on levels more carefully) Thanks mate!
It's probably just right. I mean it's Adam Neely. He knows his stuff, bass is just in the rhythm section it's something you feel but don't always realize it's there.
Plus they have three guitarists, if he tried to compensate the sound would've been way off so it's probably just right.
One of the best things I've heard in years, totally awesome y'all came together well on this track, thank you
This is fun to watch. Great song and got hype in it. Well done guys!
Welp, you guys broke UA-cam 🤣
I'm loving this production quality!
Yeah
EmotionalMoose well im da one
Transformosaur dude!..quality is so fucking good! i would pay
to watch it as a tv show!!!

They should just a band
