- 看美劇或是一些在美國UA-camr的VLOG，常常看到大家會有帶著自己食物，去朋友家玩的場景．
今天Noah也被邀請囉! David順便教教他，這樣的聚餐要注意什麼禮貌，還有如何跟人家聊天的相關英文．

1. What is a potluck?-- Everyone brings their own dish to a gathering. 每個人準備一道食物的聚餐。
2. no-no food 雷料理
Avoid bringing these kinds of food. 避免準備這類的食物。
3. Main course/Entree 主食
(1) Salad 沙拉 -- Potato salad 馬鈴薯沙拉、Macaroni salad 通心粉沙拉
(2) Sliced meat 肉片-- Chicken 雞肉、Beef 牛肉
4. Dessert 點心-- Jell-O 果凍、fruit 水果
5. Drinks 飲料-- Juice 果汁、Soft drinks 氣泡飲料
6. How many people will be there? 有多少人會來?
7. Bring enough to feed ten people. 請準備十人份的食物。
8. Dress code 裝扮主題
9. Informal event 非正式的聚會
10. Christmas potluck 聖誕餐會
11. theme 主題
12. 在potluck場合適合的問題:
(1) What did you bring? 你帶了什麼食物?
(2) Did you make this? 這你做的嗎?
(3) What did you put in it? 你裡面放了什麼?
(4) You have to try this. 你一定要嘗嘗這個。
13. 回覆:
(1) Wow! That is really good. 非常好吃。
(2) Oh! That’s really interesting. 喔...這很有趣。(其實不怎麼喜歡，可能心裡想的是 That is so bad.)

好有趣又具創意的內容，原來在教會中這種"一家一道菜"的聚會方式是從美國Potluck來的，David老師的中文講得真好，也好有表演天分，空英的老師們都超優秀。

新發現這樣的教學方式蠻有效率的 短短的重點及對話 有助加深記憶 但是 有些中文對話 或英文對話 都沒有完全中翻英或英翻中 那是因為我們很想知道所有課程裡的對話翻譯 這樣可以多學一點 還有講解上可能是時間上的關係很快就帶過去了這是很可惜的地方 雖然都是講重點 但希望能更加深記憶 另外 搭檔很會幫我們在用字上問疑問 這點可以幫我們解惑,一直以來大家說英語的教材課題都很棒 現在又出了這節目真的很棒 內容很正面也很用心 只可惜 電視上很少看到撥放 或撥放時間也不完全能配合,以前在網站上還可看到整個節目 但是現在沒辦法看到 而且買教材似乎也沒有很完整 最後還有一個可惜卻很有用的地方 就是Calendar Phrass常常太簡單了 這部份十多年來沒有改變的希望這節目能有機會能讓我們每天都能看到

Calendar Phrase雖然句型極其簡單，但希望藉此培養觀眾在聽力以及自行翻譯、理解的能力上都能夠因此而得到幫助
比較算是初階的英文教學，讓任何人都能輕鬆學英語，這也是我們為何稱之為"大家說英語"的原因囉!
至於"好想講英文"的教學範圍就比較廣泛了，我們希望利用有趣的教學，將英文帶入你的生活當中
並且使用這樣的平台多多更觀眾互動，讓你時時刻刻都"好想講英文"唷!

Rice is absolutely OK. It would be best to have something like fried rice. It stands on its own nicely.
Wow, David speaks Chinese very well. I’d like to ask you a question. How do you say “混血兒” in English? Thanks.
In English, you would say that someone is "mixed-race," but in the States it's often considered quite rude to ask about or point out that someone is mixed-race. A little bit different from Asia.
在美國講類似mixed-raced之類的詞會帶給別人一種不好的感覺 不像在台灣只是在形容一個人而已 美國人基本上都是混血...XD 所以也不會有人刻意去講

It's a fun idea. In the States there aren't too many "no-no foods", but when doing a potluck with foreign friends, it's helpful to know what foods to not bring! :)
