Very nice, my Bamakey TP-III is on the way. Can't wait to use it. Thank you for the review.

Good comparison Andre, thanks. For the Begali Adventure I have added the Side-KX tall leg to my KX2 which lowers the Adventure paddle to just the perfect height for me. You can keep both standard and long leg on the KX2 at the same time, so easy to change key height. 73, Jon.

I took the rubber caps off the the metal finger pieces from my TP-III. That's they way the key is shown in their advertising photos and on the product packaging. Don't know why they added them. I didn't like the sponginess of the rubber caps which were simple round caps that you might find as a safety measure on the end of a 1/4" metal rod you purchase at a hardware store. They come off easy and the key is much better without them, especially if you are a light touch iambic paddle operator, like me. I have a steel plate on the bottom of my field radio (KX3) that the TP-III magnetically attaches to in an up-side-down position. When I operated the key in this up-side-down position I switch the dit/dah setting in the radio menu. It is rock solid for single handed operation in the field. For home use, I purchased a round $12 jewler's bench block made by Owden on Amazon that is a 20 oz. polished disk of steel with a silicone base that the TP-III magnetically attaches to and makes for a solid desk key that is going no where during single handed operation. I don't have the Begaili Adventure , but I do have the Begali Traveler. I use either in the field and at home. The TP-III is just as smooth as the Begali. Both keys are set at very tight contact spacing using the 0.03mm spacer that ships with the Begali key. The paddles on both keys barely move when I operate. That's my personal choice of setting. You might like wider spacing and more travel between your contacts. I just think it takes a very well manufactured paddle to be able to operate reliably at such close spacing without the paddle inadvertently closing the contacts on its own. Both keys are very well made. For me the Begali Traveler and BamaKey TP-III are both a joy to use they way I have set them up. -W9MIC-

Nice review. I got both of them. Really nice paddles, solid, precise and smooth. I pair the Begali Adventure with IC-705 along with its bracket. I also ordered magnetic base. TP-III is nice to hold on the field. Also have cheap round steel base from Amazon (jewelry stamping pad). I love both manufacturers. Just ordered the TP-II. Begali Traveler is on my next list.

I just got this base you mentioned from Amazon. Now I’m using the tp-iii at the desk at home. For me it feels even better than the begali traveler

I own both the bigger TP-II and the smaller TP-III. Unfortunately I never got used to TP-III - it feels very imprecise and the rubber finger pieces are the worst. The bigger TP-II on the other hand is magnificent, I love it.

Interesting, I was looking at the TP-II. It looks nice. I like the TP-III but it does get a bit squirrelly at times.

Thanks for this comparison. I have the TP-III. It is well crafted and looks nice. I have noticed it tends to "bounce" a bit, but I am using it on SOTA activations and not on stable surfaces a lot. I have been thinking about getting the Begali Adventure or a Begali Traveler.

The traveler wouldn’t work for sota, it’s too heavy 😢

I prefer well designed keys and both appear to be very good. I do not have the BaMaTech paddle but I am thinking of getting one.
