- From Annapurna games, Stray is the adventure game where you play as a cat in a world populated with robots. The all-new gameplay trailer shows off the world's environment, adversaries, and the charming robots you'll meet along the way. Stray is expected to release in July 2022 for PS4 and PS5.

The best part of this trailer is when the cat knocks over the bottles.
Bonus points if you jump up and knock over expensive vases "by accident".
That was the absolute selling point for me :D
quite surprised the cat didnt sit on the edge and just knock off the bottles from the roof, while lookin into the camera xD
@@sinbrown1501 if you watch the older trailer the devs say the cat uses “special cat abilities” and then it cuts to the cat just sitting and knocking paint cans off of a roof.
Why are there empty bottles around? Do robots drink beer?

@@devashishathawale4807 Hard to believe that souls like game can have awesome story. I have played BB and DS3 and atmosphere was great but I don't consider them to have good story, especially when main character doesn't say anything. Maybe ER really has very good story. I can't judge until I play, just wondering. Graphics are not bad but also obviously not top tier.
Souls like games don't really have good "stories" per se. They have extremely deep and fascinating lore hidden normally within item descriptions, for those inclined to dive into them, or just what a UA-cam video.

The creators are almost all cat owners and have said that even during the making of the game, several cats were in the office, sometimes resting on a PCs power button, just before they could finish/save a days work^^...shows that they REALLY love cats :)!

Cats are naturally stealthy so its perfect to be a cat in a videogame. Such a top notch idea, like its so obvious yet I dont think anyone has done it yet. I can't wait.
It has already been done in a sence with the game "away" which I enjoyed. But let's see how this game goes. I'm hyped!

Titanfall 1, always said my kitten was the pilot scouting around 2 Atlas Titans chasing her (German Shepherds). She always has the high ground or maneuvers quickly through open spaces and the rim of things. Worth a try over the new ones if the servers aren't dead yet

This is definitely a first, I don't think there is another game that has a cat protagonist. What a unique concept. I hope the cat can do a loaf.
EDIT: By cat protagonist I don't mean a stylized, fantastical or cartoon render, I mean something like an actual cat.

This game is a visual and sensory masterpiece. I bought it yesterday and was in awe. So refreshing to play something so emotive and with heart with no violence.... Beyond expectations.

This is a game in which your cute cat is constantly at risk of being eaten alive by the blob bug things, and gets a ray gun to burst them open.
I love cats and I love post-apocalyptic settings. Plus, this game looks like it could be another piece of art, like for example Journey. I'm definitely looking forward to it. :)

The moment I saw that cat with cyberpunkish backround on the internet, I knew I would play this game, and I did. It was great
the game left me with a sense of, loneliness or something. It was a short and sweet journey I'll never forget. Part of me wants to 100% it on Steam but it leaves me feeling sad. It's really a masterpiece. I hope we get another game or a DLC or something! Or maybe just leave it that, one of the best games of all time that I've ever played.

I gotta say, this is one of the most well put together games I've ever played. The details, lore, music, and just almost everything is perfect. I still find quite a few bugs, like things floating, but I don't think that really matters as much, as that's not even an issue and this game being a game dedicated to speed running it seems. I've beat it twice, and though I'm not very emotional when it comes to games or videos, the 1st time I beat it it almost made me cry. I watched a few playthroughs before I beat it, and that didn't ruin the experience at all. Definitely my most favorite things in the game are the graphics and the cutscenes. 9/10 game in my opinion, and though I'm bored of it atm, I'll definitely play it again.

My cats were watching while I was playing this game lol 😆 one went on my lap haha 😂 such a relaxing cute fun game. Loved it. I gotta play it again to get every single memory & do every missions.

Wish there were more games like this, but longer. Much longer. I want games where you can run around as an animal or animal-like being, with at least 20 hours of gameplay and plenty of content to last for days and days. The only game that I know of that does this well is Okami. Outside of the stories and the battles, there are also a bunch of side stuff and minigames and achievements. There's so much to see, so much to do. I found myself having so much fun running around with a rabbit in my mouth and headbutting cows into the lake. There's just so many random things that you can do in the game. Even if you're not a completionist, the game is still 30+ hours long. When I first saw the trailer for Stray, I thought about getting it, but when I found out that the game isn't even ten hours long (I think it can be beaten in two hours), I quickly changed my mind. I wonder if I'll ever see another game like Okami in my lifetime...

One of my favorite small parts about this game is when you’re exploring and find a paper bag, interacting with it will cause the cat to put its head inside the bag which hilariously invert the controls. Had a huge smile on my face the first time i discovered it.

The location is actually based off of a real place that no longer exists, Kowloon Walled City, it was part of Hong Kong but all of its 33,000 residents were forced out and it was demolished back in, '93, I believe it was.
This game has awesome characteranimations and the beginning section was awesome. It was so sad when they were parted.
Pretty original concept. The environmental designs look great.
Can't wait to play, looks like a lot of fun!

When I was younger I remember there was game that you could play as a dog and and you could switch to all kinds of different dogs around town, even play as a few different cats at some point. I actually wouldn’t mind playing this.

Such a great concept to have a cat as protagonist in a cyberpunk adventure, and happy to see that the game seems to be also executing nicely an interesting and original idea.
If they ever make a sequel, I think it could be cool to be able to play as both a cat and a dog, not just as a marketing move but especially since both animals have very different sets of skills and strengths they could leverage in different situations.

Stray - Definitely game of the year! Can't get enough of it!
When I first saw this I was pretty sure it'd just be a straight adventure/exploration game with some puzzles, had no idea we'd see stealth, talking with NPCs, enemies etc.
Is this a PS exclusive? Hope not.
Its a multiplat game. Gonna play this on PC once it launches next month.
@@lapsedilationdrive3943 Maybe I'll get lucky if it comes to GamePass. Looks really good, but also like one of those shorter experiences. Due to budget constraints I don't usually buy these games since they don't justify the cost most of the time (upwards of $40 for only 4-6 hours).
It's the reason I missed out on games like It Takes Two and The Stanley Parable to, sadly :(
