Maou Samejima I think the bernkastel from higurashi is a much younger version of umineko's bernkastel. And I think that the irony is the point. As she grows older into her infinitely long life she becomes more and more witch like, and it appears that whatever bordom and such they experience makes them all extremely cruel individuals. The only reason i can posit that beatrice and virgillia aren't quite as bad is that although they're old, they're not nearly as old as bernkastel, so they haven't been affected quite as bad. Anyhow I would look at bernkastel's image song, it's entire point is that she wanted to be killed if she became the type of thing she is in umineko. If they're planning to continue Umineko, I feel like a lot of this information is a set up for some bernkastel character development, idk maybe something will happen that will make her feel kinda bad or something.
You are actually right. The Bernkastel that shows up in Higurashi as an "older" Rika is the culmination of 100 years of pain. The one that shows up in Umineko is 1000 years. Kudos to you man for explaining it so well.
@@asuraspath2262 wait so if original higurashi and higurashi kai was a hundred year banter, then higurashi sotsu is gonna span another thousand years? Damn 💀
@SOVEREIGN SUPREME Oh after watching Sotsu's god-awful ending, I strongly agree. The entire thing was basically "Satoko is Lambdadelta" bait (which is undeniable at this point) with zero pay off. Turned beloved characters like Rena, Mion, etc. into hollow archetypes that only serve to further the believability of Satoko's madness, recycled so many scenes that made it an obviously rushed production, and made fans believe that it would finally connect itself with Umineko's story through Bernkastel and Lambdadelta. Thankfully, the Meguri manga is going for a much more well-developed direction and may redeem the story that Ryukishi was trying to tell.
"Tell me. What must I do to earn your forgiveness." Oh! Oh! I know! SPOILERS: Subjecting a family to horrific and bloody death over and over again because otherwise you'd be bored would be a good start! Also, not laughing in the face of the young man who has to watch his loved ones being violently and brutally murdered again and again. Also, not generally being a monumental bitch completely at odds with the personality you split yourself off from! Those would all help immensely!
It's amazing how this too also applies to the message found within Umineko
Ryukishi07 makes absolutely brilliant works
If you don’t know, simply put this is bern describing rika’s suffering. As she is watching from outside the board.
exactly like that
@@Singularityy exactly like that
This is by far the most beautiful thing I've ever read in my entire life
Just speechless after reading all of them.
It’s really interesting how you can apply most if not all the poems to their respective arcs
I love Bern so much 💜
0:00 - 0:15 How can I forgive Bernkastel if she did nothing wrong?
