Thanks for the question! One moves with a slight delay - in practice this delay is not noticeable. As soon as both pads contact the rim, pressures on both will equalize.
Hi, I've just bought a new magura hs33 and of course hose is too long. If I well understood, I will need to buy a new olive. Is there anything else I need to buy? Could you please confirm? Thank you very much.
Hi luisfmrosa, that's right. Theoretically you only need to buy the olive but I guess it would make sense to buy the service kit. Our service kit contains some small parts (olives, etc.) and all you need to bleed a brake. You're also welcome to chat with us via Facebook Messenger in case you have any further questions. Regards Tobi - MAGURA social media
I did it with another cutting tool and although the cut wasn’t the cleanest of all, it does seem to work with no issue. I do not recommend you do the same and mess up but it is possible
That depends. For our rim brakes, you will not need the barb. However, depending on where you cut the hose and what fitting your installing afterwards, you might need an olive. Feel free to contact us on Facebook or Instagram to further discuss this.
Good morning, you can get this part at your local bike store. If you need any help to find a local MAGURA dealer you're welcome to contact us via facebook messenger to get some closer information. Best regards Tobias (MAGURA social media)
How to it with an fixed nut? I’ve just tried several ways to get the fixed nippel in the tube. Heated it but the heat damages the integrity of the hose. And the nippel just don’t want to go in. Heated the nippel and tried to push in the normal hose. Nothing, im fairly strong.

If Magura knew consumers will need to shorten the hose why don’t they include the kit with the brakes? It’s not cheap actually for the entire set and still need to spend some more for the spares.
As if. The part that he says isn't reusable can be used again about a 100 times. There's nothing here that would cost a dime. You can even use baby oil or canola oil in the lines if you wanted to. Available at any store 24/7. Never believe what the manufacturer tells you. They just want your money.
Hands of a surgeon
when you are holding the hose are you pinching it shut so it doesnt spill oil?
no bleeding necessary?
You hold the hose still so oil won't sling out. the hose is too stiff to pinch off by hand. If you are careful you won't have to add oil or bleed.
When you cut it, liquid don't leak?
What is the torque wrench attachment at 1:51 called and where can I find one?
Seems to be a half-open hex wrench
Just found this which will work just as well.

It's called a pair of vice grips that you probably already own.

If I cut the wire with scissor is it bad
Yes, you won't get a clean cut and will squash the hose. It's best to use a dedicated hose cutter for shortening the brake hose.
