just throwing my thoughts out there. Unfortunately since somebody died, I think it’s safe to say that carrier is gonna get burned one way or another. My thoughts are prayers to both parties. However, I do like that you say stay safe out there. But what could’ve prevented this issue. What time does that office start Their Amazon delivery? Versus when does that carrier normally start? There’s a nationwide 10 o’clock start time for Amazon delivery. That needs to be brought up. As that carrier was in the sun that much longer. Thank you for what you do. Keep those videos coming daily.

      Nationwide since when?
My area it's one at 9:30 and one at 10.
If all distribution is completed early, they mass communicate offering to start earlier.

@@ZombyCrusher this is for strictly Amazon Sunday. Not Monday through Saturday.

Yeah I quit this other office I first started at, they was pumping out 100-120 dismounts on a normal day, post master constantly stressing me on the time on top of having to get this way too large route ready in the evaluated time which was 2 hours after starting which was ridiculous lmao had to go somewhere else he was all about safety but he was more adamant about timing than anything.

As a CCA I can tell you first hand. People drive fast and don’t pay attention half the time because of the late start times and also having things to do after work. It’s stupid hot outside so add that in also. With all that being said. I always drive safe. The moment you start disregarding safety. Is when the shit happens….

Back in the day, Domino's Pizza had a policy of 30 minutes or less otherwise it was free. That ended after a delivery driver was rushing and got into an accident and killed someone.
Being around 5:30pm, I'd guess the carrier was in a rush to get their packages delivered to go back. Whether it is to be able to leave or on orders from Supe. Though, that doesn't excuse shortcuts that are unsafe to get to that point. But I think supes are encroaching the territory of the old Domino's policy where it's creating situations where carriers are rushing.

Honestly if you die not wearing your seatbelt. Not that the carrier is in the wrong. But you could have lived to see another day.

Having 30 years as a city letter carrier I can tell you accidents happen of course, I’ve been involved in a couple myself, there’s no excuse to not being safe, whether is time, climate, etc.
I understand cca’s are pressured daily, especially where union representation is zero or weak but ultimately the person driving is responsible like in this case, and by the way those carriers running out the office don’t help either.
Don’t be scared of management, talk to them before leaving office, explain your situation of how your day is going to be in advance or if you think your load for that day is too much let them know.
