Really useful to see it done real time and with no music as well 🙂. I'll be tackling my daughter's broken screen replacement on a very similar model and will now do it with a lot more confidence. Many thanks.
Omg 😳 I’m from Canada but i live currently in Japan and today i was going to buy this laptop but i was so lucky to come accidentally to this video! 😮 i definitely decided not to buy it after i saw 250 comments from people that faced the same issue and had a nightmare with HP . The problem isn’t exclusive to this model only but a lot of other HP laptop models as well. I have friends who live in Europe who was unlucky to buy normal HP laptops ( not 2 in 1 / convertible) and had huge issues with them . Some of my friends ended up smashing their Hp laptop with anger 😢 Me myself is a regular user for Lenovo laptops . I owned lenovo 360 convertible since 2016 until 2023 and been closing and opening the hinges roughly on daily basis and nothing happened until now. But the only reason i wanted to switch to this HP model that they said it’s smaller and lighter than Lenovo ! But now i know it’s not worth it. I advise everyone to buy Thinkpad Lenovo convertibles as they’re really the toughest business laptops in the market. They’re even used on board of the space stations and the rough engineering environments. Avoid buying HP , DELL , Panasonic laptops at all costs.
The adhesive is insanely strong on this laptop. I pried the side open a bit then wedged a credit card down the side and moved up and down multiple times. Took me like 15 min to get this thing out. Unfortunately broke the screen in the process, was trying to access the LVDS cable. I think you should tell clients that the only option is whole top cover assembly inc display replacement if an LVDS issue on this model sadly.
I recommend heating from behind, the tape is behind the screen and the metal transfers heat better, it comes out much easier... recomiendo calentar por detras, la cinta se encuentra detras de la pantalla y el metal transfiere mejor el calor, sale mucho mas facil...
Mine for some reason began to deform, as if it were inflating inside, deforming the metal chassis, making the components visible from the sides. I really don't recommend this pc, plus sometimes it gives a blue screen

Did it work out mate?
@@xanxusvaria8492 Yes but touchscreen not working. Maybe issues with the screen connection but we'll live with it.
@@ianshelley2371 alright thanks for the answer
Does it work even if its not the exact model between the new screen and the computer
Thank you very much for this video. I have the 17-in version of it and could not figure out how to open it. Very helpful ! !
Your video helped quite a bit. Repaired an HP Envy 17-ae --- a suction cup and a fixit bladed tool worked around the edges. Be careful.

Thanks for the useful video! For putting in the new screen, should you just pop it in?
Are the bezel and the display screen together, is it possible to change the bezel without replacing the display screen?
thanks alot it was realy helpful.😊
Does this new screen also support hp active stylus that come pre bundled with laptop??
It's stretch to release tape, no need to heat anything up, just pull the tabs.
Where are the pull tabs ? Top or bottom ?
thank you
You are welcome, I'm glad it helped someone :)
