You need to take a minimum 10 shots on the middy/3pter on good % to get a hot zone. 20 in the close shot and inside. 50% 3pters and middy (or 60% for middy). Close shot and inside 70% I think because I can’t get hot zones on the middle and right close range. It’s possible to lose them if you miss enough from the zone (I hit 50% on the right mid range and lost the hot zone from it).
Its inconsistent. I have a midrange zone at 59% hot and a midrange zone at 65% and it’s neutral. These inconsistencies have been here in previous 2ks for midrange n close shot. 3 pointer easiest to get hot

For anybody losing to lethal shooter. Do the lethal spots first when you don't have a hot zones. He will miss 2-4 shots per zone instead of hitting everything. Then play a rookie game and turn them lethal
@Benz-0 you would do the lethal drills and turn the spots from neutral to hot. Then play career. If you have the hot spots already. Play a streetball game and miss a bunch of spots there. Sounds complicated, but it's petty quick

What 2k does not tell you, is the hot zone literally moves on online mode. Don't believe me, after an online game go to the art of shooting and see your hot zones downgraded and moved to different zones.
This affecting gameplay is garbage. So how well you shoot from there affects hotzones. Yet hotzones affect how well you shoot from there? Doesn't that cancel each other out..?

Listen to me rn you need to have each zone on the 3pt line over 56% percent you can check this in your my stats go to roster click on your and press r3 then go to hot zone percentage and press nba total if your zones are not 56% and higher it won’t be hot zone trust me I am right

There was just a hotfix for this, I had the same issue but it's now resolved.
