I never saw reverse fail on 6 cylinders engines. I mostly work on v8s and v12s and saw many reverse failures on those. I guess since there is less torque on smaller engines clutches last longer.
I haven't calculated total repair cost yet but its not cheap. Taking it apart is fast. Cleaning and prepping surfaces before assembling take lots of time
