The mastermind, whether it's Kelly Khumalo or Longwe, targeted some of these accused persons to fall into a well executed trap of them being apprehended as the suspects. She pretended to want them to do the job and they probably discussed with her the type of arms and ammunitions they possessed and would use if they were to do the job. 2. The masterminds used their other connections to acquire for themselves (masterminds) the same type of arms and ammunition for the task. 3. The Khumalo group staged a robbery gone wrong. One of the masterminds went on to execute the murder, using that same calibre weapon. 4. This explains why Kelly Khumalo's phone records show communication with the accused. The masterminds had got rid of their same calibre weapon, and when the police investigated and followed the accused who appear in Kelly's phone the arrested them as they found one in possession of a firearm suspected to have been used in the crime. That is why in this trial the gun and bullets are said to be a match or whatever the language used of bullet markings and similarities. The poor "Nkabis" aren't just forthcoming with the truth that they were initially approached for the job but never executed it.
