12:00 Sizzler Steak & All-You-Can-Eat BBQ Ribs for $6.99 1983 commercial. I have never seen this commercial before and I like watching the early 80's Sizzler commercials.
Omg I’m a kid again! I can’t believe this has been preserved! I watched KBHK-44 all the time - I remember when Dr. Don Rose was hosting! This is freakin AWESOME!
Wow!. I was five years old when these commercials was around. The Saul Mill commercial brought back memories to me. Thanks for posting these commercials right here. Believe it or not, K fog is still around.
+Kayanda Eddings Thanks, and no problem (I love sharing nostalgia). I was almost 1, lol (these came off my dad's old VHS tapes). Yeah, I listen to KFOG a bit, it's remarkably similar to this too...plus modern songs.
+Kayanda Eddings I love it, esp finding stuff I never knew about all this time. I lived in Marin and Sonoma county, then suburban Sac, then San Jose, hbu?
+JPMcFly1985Two well, I was born in Berkeley California almost 38 years ago in november, I was raised in Alameda California from an infant all the way to my teenage years. Then, when I was almost 17 in 1995, I moved to vallejo and I lived there for 20 years, then, just last year I moved to suisun City where I currently resign. Oh!. I forgot to tell you that I moved out of vallejo for a bit to live in American Canyon from 2009 until 2011. But, I really like where I live although Alameda is my main hometown.
I'm so used to 80s music being classics now and so mainstream that it plays in supermarkets and dentist offices, I tend to forget that the jazz generation (the middle-aged parents of that time, born in the 1930s say) thought that was "crap" and "just noise", lol.
That's Jack Barry, not Johnny Jacobs in that Joker's Wild promo. He would sadly pass away six months later. Jacobs was the original announcer for The Joker's Wild as well as for most of the Chuck Barris game shows (Dating Game, Newlywed Game, Treasure Hunt, Gong Show). He died in February 1982. Barry and Jacobs were close friends.

This was an awesome era as a kid and teens in the 80s watch channel 44 .
Back when life made sense and TV was fun!!! I miss growing up in during the 70s and 80s in the Bay Area.....days long gone....it's sad.

+JPMcFly1985Two isn't it fun going back in time? I grew up in Northern California.

11/8/1983 KBHK Bay Area Commercials -You Tube
I thought Leon Heskett (Carpet Coleseum) had already burned down his store and was in prison by this time?
4:51 Linda Hamilton!
5:54 Larry Storch!
8:09 Earl Boen!
10:40 That baked mouse is screaming internally:
“Kill me.”
Pepsi Free always reminds me of that "Back to the Future" scene, "If you want a Pepsi pal, you're gonna pay for it!"
Man, I loved Joker's Wild. Before cable; bay area tv was the best.
They were owned by Field Communications at the time? I could tell by the font of the 8 o'clock Movie promotion
Yeah, Field bought Kaiser's stations in the mid-70s. KBHK was sold again in the summer of '84
"Who knows why" people switched to Burger King? Probably all that *subliminal advertising*! (13:55)
Wow thank you!
Must have been a slow news day! :) (14:57)

Now U can buy 'em at Jack-In-The-Box at @ 3a.m. or 3p.m. ....LOL :)
funny thing no one has the radio station commercial with the doors light my fire in it and CCR
I think it was KFOG that abruptly changed its format from easy listening to rock. My parents were not happy campers.

Too true :)

Joker would switch to KTVU the following year, I believe it was on at 12 with TTD at 1230.
"Have you seen the new Heskett Carpet Coliseums in Oakland and Hayward since the fire?"
You mean the fire YOU STARTED? LMAO
That's "Arthur Hailey's 'Hotel'", NOT "Alex Haley's 'Hotel'"!
"Alex Hailey's 'Hotel'" .... "Hotel" was written by ARTHUR Hailey... lol!
Able Archer.
