- During TX2K21 we had the pleasure of meeting up with David Mazzei (Mazzei Formula) and his insane turbo 4 Rotor RX-7! This radical build is one of the craziest street cars we've ever featured on the channel. Every aspect of David's car is an absolute work of art and its so inspiring that most of the work was done in his home garage with the help of close friends/family. David even tunes the car himself using a Haltech Elite 2500! He gives us a full breakdown of what it took to build the RX-7 over the past 4 years and takes us for some blasts on the highway! What I love most about this video is this dude's passion and excitement for his car. You can see that he's like a little kid with a monster of a toy, but he's still shaking with excitement and pride in what he built. She's a beauty for sure.

as some one who is local to him and a friend, let me tell you he is that excited about anything car. he begs me for rides in my 2j s13, is always talking about how cool his other friends cars are. he is honestly one of the most humble people i have ever come across and deserves every praise he can get. the guy is a genuine car nut and enthusiast.

That was the 1st TRC interview that I watched the whole way through. David is more knowledgeable and talkative than the quiet guy he usually portrays.

This guy gets it, it's about the experience, like being on a roller coaster. It's not about being the fastest thing out there, it's about putting it all together in a package that just takes your breath away and leaves you wanting for it to never end. This is why car guys do what we do. It is something that people who do not see a vehicle as anything more than a form of transportation will never understand. When I think of purity to make a reference to MCM, this is what I think of and hope one day to build myself.

The crowd that gathers at the local car shows when David shows up late is always funny to watch. Usually everyone is swooning over the exotic section of the meet, then the heads turn when he shows up and EVERYONE comes to watch him park. I'm so glad he's finally getting this amount of attention for all of the hard work he's put in! So proud! Bham represent!

Most guys built their cars and kno how to name all the parts it has not many like this man can explain everything that these parts do. The amount of information on this car was awesome, the education you get in this video alone about rotary engines is amazing, thank you.

As a gearhead and passionate carnut engineer I appreciated every bit of this. Have followed David's build for quite a while and it's easily at the top of my all time fav builds. Love the energy he brings to the hobby. His car clearly reflects it.

This was really an awesome treat to meet David and talk to him about his car! It was easily the most enjoyable conversation I'd had in a while about cars. The passion he has towards his project is just stellar!

I like rob... but this build is in a higher tier. Davids car will run down the track 100 times without a problem. Rob went down the track and lost a hood, broke a window, and was still trying to figure out the tune.

David is the ultimate G. Started with a shell and literally built it from the ground. Started following the build towards the end and the result is breathtaking. Even though I just watched the Mazzei Formula TX2K vlog, this still gives me goosebumps

he has worked for over 3 months continuously on the 4 rotor, now the car is getting something that most of us have been praying for years, FULL BODY AERO. so thats what he's doing. if you didnt watch his recent video, he gave a sneak peek of the 4 rotor legit FRP rear fender.(i honesty cant tell if it is or not) so yeah its not wet cardboard anymore so you fellas dont have to cry at him for cutting too much of the fender again XD. while the guys over at battle aero make the body parts, he is getting the 3 rotor back up to how it was three years ago, a good 1000hp street car. the 4 rotor, engine wise is completely perfect, all is left is interior and body parts. so I hope that clears up your confusion
