When he was in New York the team sent staff to follow up on his rehab progress, and what did kawhi do? He LITERALLY ran away from the building and hid himself with his uncle. When playoff time came instead of supporting his teammates on the bench, he disappeared. Leonard refused to take any phone calls from the team, he did not have the courtesy to tell pop that he wanted to sit out, so pop had no idea whether to declare him out for the season or not.

Old man pop hasn't changed a bit! He is still as nasty as ever! Popovich, please don put out this BS about feeling badly because Kawhi was booed. People are not stupid! This is probably the first player you cannot control with an iron fist and you relish any shade you can throw at Kawhi! You plus all the classless Spurs fans could not even appreciate what Kawhi gave to the Spurs during the 6-7 years Kawhi played for the Spurs!
Oh, one more thing old man, Kawhi was selected for the FIRST TEAM ALL STAR TEAM! How many players do you have in the FIRST TEAM?

Pop is one of the greatest coaches and one of the most honest people we will ever experience in our lifetime. I appreciate this man especially as a black man because he has said this in public that many would not due to fear from backlash. I think he had showed so much strength considering everything he's been through especially with his wife passing I think many forget how he kept going. I think he was right and wrong with the Kawhi situation as was Kawhi. I don't think I Kawhi deserved to be booed and think Pop understands that. One of the top ten coaches of all time for me!
