- When can you see puffins in Ireland? The best times are May-July and one place you can meet puffins is Great Saltee Island, just off the coast of Wexford. So in this vlog, I hopped on the Saltee Ferry and headed over to the Saltees to see the puffins, and I was BLOWN AWAY! I started the day at Hook Lighthouse and made my way to Kilmore Quay for the crossing and had the BEST DAY. The weather was insane, and I felt like I was on some Tropical Island! Sadly the puffin numbers in Ireland are on the decline , so it's amazing to be able to see them!

Love the Puffins on the Saltee isle.👌😁
Thank you for sharing!! Thinking of going to the Saltee Island in end Jul but not sure if the puffins are still there by then... the weather is a matter of luck as well n it doesn't help that there's no shelter nor toilet on the island so i can't make up my mind about going. Any advice?
They're so neat.
The real Puffin Rock - Perfect timing for the Puffin Rock Movie release... Beautiful video
Ahhh I need to see this movie!!
I love their little jumps :)

Puffins!!!
Lots of puffins 😁😁
Nice🇹🇷🇹🇷🌹🌹❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Puffins are the cutest 🥹
Aren't they?!?
Amazing! I'm excited to go next year! How long of a lens did you use? (I'd prefer not to have to bring my huge 200-600 haha)
Aw amazing, so excited for you!! Had my 24-120 and it worked perfectly because you sit near enough to the edge of the cliffs and the puffins aren't afraid at all, they'll walk right up to you!
@@Tinyboots_travels amazing! Thank you! I should have up to 150mm. I just don't really want to bring my 200-600 haha
😮😅réf 😅😮
Uploaded again? 😳
There was a problem with the first one 😅
@@Tinyboots_travels So can I ask you again. Do they just get their kiddos on the island and then fly off to their other place?
Definitely on my bucket list 🧡
@@Death_Note187 so from what I know, the parents (which mate for life usually) stay with the chick's and feed them until they become independent, then they head back to sea. Puffins spend the majority of their life living purely on the sea so the chick's actually stay at sea until they are breeding age so after a few years they'll return to land to mate!
