That's one of the most important thing to remember about scams. Most people that get scammed are too ashamed to even talk about it. So the most effective scams are not the ones that look too realistic. But the ones that are the dumbest. You don't want to tell anyone that you've been caught by a very obvious scam.
Safemoon started as off as a scam, but it's not because the ceo clean house and got rid of all the bad actors..

Few people in the comments seem to know, but there are two lawsuits currently filed in California against Safemoon. Bill Merewhuader et al v. SafeMoon LLC et al (2:2022cv01108) and Kayla Blacksher v. SafeMoon LLC et al (2:2022cv01527). This is public record and anyone can follow it. Don't tell safemooners though, lol, smh.

Because too many of the people in power to do something have no idea how this tech works. To be fair, it’s a matter of time before some hammers drop, but I doubt everyone will receive justice.

And if they did manage to get into court there's a high probability that karony would be absolutely effed because he'd be heavily investigated and found to be guilty.

@@ZackLee Well you can use pretty much any Blockchain Explorer. These websites have either public APIs or let you download the dataset in different format. From there you bump it up on a graph visualization tool. Not sure what Coffee uses specifically though.

People keep doing this, but it shows a pretty fundamental lack of understanding of the tulip bubble.
These crypto scams result in real currency being lost as a result of actively malicious actions taken by the creators.
Now, of course "actively malicious" can be both an objective and subjective phrase so the argument could be made that their was tons of active maliciousness in the tulip bubble, but almost everything revolving around it was speculation so very little real assets were lost.
The big issue though, is that this was hundreds of years ago and the people controlling the historical narrative were largely also the biggest players in the tulip game, so all sources should be looked at with some healthy doubt.

People arent even questioning its name Safemoon using the keywords safe and moon to incite people to invest and expect returns. Like normal coins have distinct names but this token just slaps the words that average people like to hear and they got baited into it.

A little off-topic but always something really weird and creepy to me about like reforming your identity around someone else. When I see all the people with 'crypto' or the name of a specific currency in their online handle, it's... not exactly combating a belief that they're in a weird cult where they've sworn to abandon objectivity.
