말초신경에 자극적인 음악에 오랫동안 노출되 있다보니 산울림 음악의 위대함을 못 느끼게 되는 것 같다. 당시 산울림 음악을 틀었을 때의 신선함 독특함 파격 유기농 같은 정확히 표현하기 어려운 그 무엇이 분명 있었는데 못 알아 봤다. 고려 도자기를 시골 농가에서 구석에 처박아 놓고 그 가치를 모르고 지나가듯이, 산울림 음악을 당시에는 분명 느낌으로 신선함 독특함 등등을 느꼇지만 위대한 가치를 정확히 몰랐다. 최근에 스페인의 어느 음악인이 산울림 음반을 제작해 냈다는 소식을 접하고, 음악 전문가도 평가하는 산울림이구나 하고 경탄했다. 고전은 시간이 지나도 영원히 남듯이, 산울림의 음악은 유행가 이상의 고전 반열에 드는 수준이라는 생각이 든다

At the time, Sanulim was legend because they made very unique melodies and lyrics which we had not experienced before at all. They are brothers and really genius(they graduated top-ranking universities and really great jobs like a doctor in Korea). When they were young, they made a music band as a hobby. So they had very limited situations for a professional music band. That is why they made very unique melodies and lyrics for a rock music.
