@@russoianatolie8640 it's a seed company we have here in the US where you order seeds from. Check them out on line. The vegetable is tropical, attributed to longevity in Japan. It's bitter but there are recipes on how to cook it. We make it into smoothies with kiwi, pineapple, banana, strawberries. It is anticovid, for diabetes, hypertension, infection, cancer. Scientific name is momordica charantia, of different varieties.

Hi, i have bitter gourd the flowers which usually blooms are female, in which way I can hand pollinate if theres not yet male flower. Plants are inside greenhouse, there are sometimes pollinator(bees, flies) ..thank you for you answer. God bless

My seeds aren't propagating.... not sure what I did wrong? I have fine soil, with fertilizer, I soaked the seeds... do I just have bad seeds? I"m in zone 10B in the US, so I should be able to grow these no problem.

will seeds from store-bought bitter melons grow fruit?
I've been growing bitter melons for 5 yrs now. I collect the seeds of the mature fruit IF they are an heirloom variety. These seeds I use for the next planting season. If you plant the seeds of a hybrid variety, you will get a plant, however you will most likely not get fruit with the same attributes of the 'parent' fruit. It can be disappointing. Now store-bought bitter melons are most likely hybrid ones, which is the logical choice of farmers for the fact that they are disease-resistant and hefty. If I were you, I'd buy seeds from a store; if you are curious though, go ahead and put the store-bought BM seeds into the soil. Don't hesitate to try.
